Well done on the gym mojo! I need to find mine (well I actually need to stop staying up so late so I can get up...)

Good luck to OH. I hope you have made it clear that if he is offered the job he WILL accept it, even if only to help you with finances while he looks for something he is more interested in... :p

    Two incomes? Heres hoping.
My fingers and toes are crossed at this point! He said he thought the interview went OK but didn't divulge much more than that (typical). He was told he'd hear in 24-48 hours but his phone's been out of action today (some update wasn't updating) and I've been quietly stressing that he's missed a call :o

My interview was meant to be tomorrow but I've had to reschedule as some OT I requested ages ago finally came back as approved. We aren't able to recall overtime so I'm a bit stuck. Now have a new interview scheduled on Monday.

SSDDD23 I would be keen to trade some mojo haha! I did go on a bit of a tidying up spree today after work but it didn't develop into 'decluttering' unfortunately. I will get on it soon, but maybe not for the next few weeks as the overtime is really taking it out of me!

Lucifa73 I fell asleep at 8.40 last night according to the fitbit :o:o Not intentionally... I just couldn't actually keep my eyes open!!

I've had a wee think and I will keep funds in my savings DIA. My debt is interest free thankfully so I think it's a safer bet to try and build up a cushion for if anything goes wrong.

Feeling positive (but tired) today. OH has a telephone interview tomorrow for another job so I am confident that he will get something very soon. Ideally the one he interviewed for yesterday so he can get started ASAP :rotfl:

He said he will take it if he's successful for my sake (and the sake of my sanity)... Very noble of him :p Would have been significantly more noble 6 months ago :rotfl: I'm just kidding, I am extremely happy with him right now. He seems like he's had a change of mentality and understands that a job now doesn't mean a job for life, it's just something to get us through for a while.

Anyway, that's me going to get in bed and watch something and try and switch off. It's a 6 day week this week and full time hours  It feels OK but all I seem to do is rotate between sleep, the gym and work... There's no time for anything else as sleep is so important to me :rotfl: :o

I have a day off on Saturday so will try and catch up with everyone then :)

Hello Lucifa and DIA! No news with regards to OH :( He's just not heard back from the Interview on Tuesday which is a shame. You would hope he would at least be told he's been unsuccessful rather than keep him in suspense! Oh well... He had another interview yesterday for an insurance company and said he quite liked the sound of the job AND he felt the interview went really well. They said he'd hear back within 24 hours, but considering it's the weekend I'm not so sure about that.

I am SO tense waiting to find out (more tense than him I think :o)... He has applied for a number of other jobs in the last few days in case this one falls through. But I'm just really hoping he gets this so he can get started soon.

Anywhooo... Not much of an update there :( But here's hoping I can come back in the next few days with some positive news!

With me there isn't much news either... Just plodding along. Got about 12/ 13 days to payday and £30 left. Which isn't that bad. I have food in and have my train ticket paid so we should be OK. Mentally I'm continuing to do OK. I think exercise is really helping and I actually look forward to going to the gym (who am I?)

Feeling a bit spread thin with all the overtime but it will be worth it come payday. Will be nice to see some savings in my pot again! There's currently the grand old sum of £19 as an emergency fund :rotfl:

Had a bit of a weepy moment yesterday... I was just really tired after doing six days on the trot (I know it's not actually that much, but coming off part time hours to that was pretty draining!) and had got an email reminding me to complete an online assessment for another job I had applied for. It was maths and situational stuff which was fine, but then they asked me to do sort of timed video  I was not at all prepared but it had to be done by midnight so I rushed about trying to get sorted.

I balanced our small camping table on top of two boxes to get it to desk height and I sat on my bedside table. Did hair/ makeup and threw on some smart clothes. The actual video didn't go well at all as the internet cut out half way through my responses and when I reconnected it just thanked me for submitting it. It was just a mess and on the part that did record I was stuttering and it was just awful. The stuff I was saying was fine, I guess, but the delivery was shoddy and then obviously I don't know if they'll have got any of my responses at all.

I was just so disappointed in myself and really had a low moment. I sat on the floor crying for ages just looking at my ridiculous set up (the laptop was balanced on a cushion on top of the camping table ON TOP of the boxes :rotfl:) and just really didn't see any hope in anything. Bit silly I know but I felt like it was all just a big representation of my life and how I was a mess. I think I was just overly tired and potentially just needed a cry as am feeling much better now.

Have decided to forget about that job and just use it as a learning experience. My interview on Monday I am totally prepared for so think that that will go OK. My dad has agreed to let me call him tomorrow after I finish work so I can do a run... So am hopeful he has some constructive criticism for me :o

So far today I have done nothing but potter about. Have done a load of laundry and some general tidying but that's it. I was planning on going to the sports centre near where I live because they have an outdoor track and I wanted to try and start "Couch to 5K" but it's pouring down so I think I will leave it :o Any excuse to get out of running :rotfl:

    Happy weekend everyone :o

Oh some good news actually! I'm down to pre-birthday/ pre- (semi) breakdown weight :o I had only gained about a kilo back, but it felt like a weight around my neck. Now I feel like less of a failure and am feeling more motivated to get back to my weight loss :)

Don't be down heartened about the job. Your job on Monday will benefit from the experience.
Your dad sounds really nice :)
Well done on shifting those kilos.

Just a quick update as me and OH going to watch The Hobbit :o

Thanks DIA! Turns out I was worrying about nothing as I was successful at the video interview for job 1 (no idea how, it was a mess :rotfl:)!

My phone interview yesterday for job 2 went really well and I was told I was successful for that too, so just waiting to hear back about face to face interviews for them both.

Missed a phone call on the house phone from bank 2 when I was at work today so need to give them a wee call back tomorrow and see what it was for. Hopefully it was just to try and schedule a time/ date but I can't help worrying they want to somehow un-pass me on my phone interview :o

My dad is very lovely :) I phoned him on Sunday and he read out potential questions I had sent him and he gave me feedback on my answers. It was really helpful!

So, things on the up for me... Still a bundle of nerves but think I will be until all this interview business is over.

OH not been as lucky... He has still never heard back from his first interview and his second one was a no-go unfortunately. "Too many high calibre applicants" - just a generic sort of response which is a shame as he had felt confident. He's applied for more jobs but I think at this point he needs to go to agencies or something as he's just not having any luck.

Overtime is still kicking my butt... But I have a day off tomorrow so will be relaxing to the max. Will also have a good poke around here as I've just not had the time this past week to keep up with everything.

If the weather is good I may finally try Couch to 5K (don't anybody hold their breath though :rotfl:)
