You counter claimed without seeking advice here about that?
Not a counter claim for your costs, surely. Did you pay the £25 counter claim fee?
Of course not, because that told you that the hearing date was imminent (or it would have done, had you asked us what it meant or read any other threads at all).then i received email from gladstones with witness statement then heard nothing after that
And you didn't file your own WS/evidence, just expected the WS/evidence coming from the other side was for the fun of it, meant nothing? Was it not obvious that signalled the claim was going ahead and the date must be close?
What stage is the other claim at (dreads to ask)?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes i paid the £25 fee to counter claim for costs. I only recieved 1 email from gladstones and received no letters after counter claiming.
I only know of the judgement going against me for not turning up.
Do I just pay fine before the 31 day deadline to Gladstones or should i fight this?0 -
and is your counter claim active
you do not pay to get your costs back , you claim for them at the hearing
I suspect your c/claim has cocked this up0 -

Fortunately, the other claim, against CEL, was discontinued.

As this is Gladstones is it possible they tried their regular tactic of asking for the hearing to be 'papers only' and you neglected to file a proper response?0
