Court claim civil enforcement limited

Hello. i have received court claim forms through my door yesterday.

1. claim from civil enforcement limited demanding i pay £330 for breaching t&cs on the land dating back oct 16. at the time. car stayed in the car park at the back of the shop for 18 minutes. the car at the time was a rental which the rental company passed over my details to civil enforcement. i then phoned my local council asking if they had given them permission to put sign up in the car park which they responded no, at the time of parking i never saw any signs now 1 year later they have signs on every wall of car park. i tried to appeal the fine with civil enforcement back in nov 16 they declined. no contact since with them apart from letters they send out.

Appreciate some advice.

Many thanks,

The best advice is to read the NEWBIES sticky thread.

As you are now at the court stage, pay particular attention to the second post in that thread.

In that post you will find full details how to proceed.
you will find two CEL sample defences in there as well as full step by step guides.

you fill in the AOS online on the CCBC website , not putting anything in the defence box

read post #2 of the NEWBIES sticky thread, especially the BARGEPOLE walk through

once the AOS is done , you have extended the deadline from 14 days to 28 days to submit the defence

read about a dozen similar threads posted over the last 2 weeks, so you understand the process and advice

it is unlikely that you will be using any of the paperwork you were sent as the defence will be emailed as a completed pdf once completed and sanctioned for submission
