Sorry not been at home recently to reply to your posts.
1) Insurance contract for heating; we don't have one although I need to get the boiler serviced (20yr old). We did have the system fully drained down due to pumping over a few years ago, and refilled plus good inhibitor, latter is essential and must be dosed at the correct concentration. In essence, you should not get gas development in a closed system. If you need to bleed the system a little that is ok, water should always be black not "rust" brown/orange, in the former the system will have developed a protective magnetite oxide layer on the inside of the steel radiators depleting the oxygen concentration in the water and thus stifling the corrosion. If you get a lot of air lock problems, then system can be drawing in fresh water with plenty of oxygen to keep the corrosion going; this would then be a concern.
Whilst the Energy Saving Trust online check on thermal efficiency indicated replace the boiler, it was only at time of failure/problems as it calculated a 21yr pay back....
2) Heritage days - had missed this so will track down the info; we are English Heritage Members, but have "done" the properties in our area. Could drop it, but I believe in supporting the built heritage for the future.0 -
Erm, I better explain now why my diary may go quiet for a few days…:eek::eek::eek:
Just checked my e-mail and I’ve had an e-mail from Sony with an unlock code to allow me to download a private beta of the upcoming Motorstorm 2 Pacific Rift demo.
The full Pacific Rift game is coming out on October, with a free for all demo. Get to play with a beta version ahead of that!
Just mentioned this to Mrs Bliss and she said “Don’t forget – you’ve got to go to work on Monday” :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Currently downloading… 617Mb!

PS - Perhaps I need to get out more, but we've very heavy rain just now...!:D:D

Just noticed that I've been forgetting to say "thanks" when you post here.
I've gone through the last few pages and thanked everyone for taking the time to post a topic / reply.
Thanks for the support everyone!

Boys and their toys.
Just off for a sesh on the wii fit. Can't decide whether to do an 'ouch my poor tummy muscles' sesh, or catch some fish

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

The preview, ahem marketing e-mail from Sony did the trick:eek:
Got me looking around for prices and discounts to see what was the best deal I could get it at. The RRP is 39.99, but I’ve seen it on sale on-line for 29.99. In addition to that, providing it tracks, I should get 11% cash back via Quidco. So, I make that an effective price of 26.69
Did I order a copy…?
No – not at the moment. Don’t see this as a “must have” purchase at this point in time, although I’m allowed to change my mindMay ask “Santa” for it or may put some birthday cash towards it – birthday after Christmas!

PS - is it just me similes aren't working right now?Mortgage and debt free. Building up savings...0 -
On Saturday we went to a water mill. Wasn't that far away. While we hoped this would be good, there was not much to hold the interest of the kids and they got bored pretty quickly. Still, a little trip out.
Today we went to a flour mill. This was much more interesting, despite it being a pretty small site. We got a full guided tour and #1 really seemed to enjoy it and asked some questions afterwards. They both got a balloon each. I'm sure that's a big tick in the box when you're only 4 and 2 years old!
Anyway, enough about playstations and heritage days. Back to the mortgage next week. Hoping to draft up another "feature" post and get this posted in the coming week.
Thanks,

Hi FB
Smilies don't work for me either. I'm using ZoneAlarm with XP and I think it's something to do with the last ZoneAlarm update imo anyway. They were working fine before that.:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -
