    *check accounts
    *payment to savings account
    *ironing
    *work, work, work!
    *post letter
    *[STRIKE]update signature [/STRIKE] done
*[STRIKE]food shopping for the week[/STRIKE] done

    Have a nice evening, all.

    Hi all

Been super busy as my husband has been having operations.

I am trying to keep up to date with you all by reading whenever I get a chance.

I had a massive baking day today and it really made me think of you all.

    Keep economising.

    M xx

    Hello:wave::wave:
It’s a very long time since I posted on this thread....still some lovely familiar faces here I see:)
My finances are shocking right now so I really need to track every last penny. Was going to start a new diary but it would be so boring and then I remembered this fab thread where I can look at all the tiny things.
My 2 daughters are now officially adults...i use the term adults very loosely:rotfl: They are 20 and 18 so not in education now meaning all my money disappeared. I live on my own with them and in September my income dropped by £800 a month in one go - no tax credits, maintenance, child benefit:eek: They do give me some cash but can nowhere cover my loss so I am on a very low income but the bills and debts all still remain the same:o

    Enough....here is my list:
:) done swagbucks surveys and checked onepoll
:) have been unwell since Friday so not been out to spend
:) all meals from meagre stores
:) heating only on yesterday for an hour as I was shivering!
:) took a hot water bottle to bed and then put heating off
:) will write L1dl shopping list for tomorrow
:) checked bank account.....ouch:( however dd1 sent me £100 so that cheered me up!
:) will pack up ebay sales ready to post tomorrow - I made £50 and have bids of £12 on the bits still for sale

Ok, that’s my lot for now. I’ve been in bed for most of the weekend feeling ropey so it’s been cheap...but very dull. Good job it’s half term - as I’m a teaching assistant so I’m on my holiday;)
    Bye for now:D
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Maria! Good to see you posting (if short and sweet!) Hope your DH is recovering well and that you'll be back soon :)

PixieChic, I've taken a similar drop recently but mine was self imposed, it's not easy and I'm still in the transition period at the moment but I'm going to give it my best shot! I'm finding the nights getting quite chilly now (and I don't usually feel the cold as much as others) but wearing a pair of socks to bed seems to make a huge difference for me!

I often dream I'm discovering extra rooms in my house that I've forgotten about. I'm told this means you have more mental resources than you know about, I hope this is true because I fell asleep this afternoon and dreamed I lived in a small department store!
