Thank you so much, wishing. I'm actually a redhead haha - if ever the curiosity gets the better of you, I'll pm my fb work page over ;) Not sure you want to hear the practice; I tend to figure things out and experiment as I go so some (ahem) interesting sounds come out when I'm warbling on my own!

Big girl pants are firmly on. Happy Tuesday! xx

Thank you for the offer, I do feel I need to keep separation between this a real (social media) life.
I will say though, I'm a red head too.

Oh lovely! I'm always happy to find a fellow redhead; we're a rare breed!

Today has been really good - ballet class was exactly what I needed to switch off from work for a bit and although a (very) spendy day, it's been super productive! I ended up buying a four-class pass so I can go a few more times... a worthy investment, I reckon!

    Spending:
    £140 car tax
    £34.20 NI contribution
    £26 dance classes
    £1 parking
£12.99 gift for friend's baby shower
    £23.50 clothes for me
£16 cordless vacuum for the car
    £27.71 groceries
    £10.50 Backing tracks

    Total: £291.90 :eek::eek::eek:

    Morning all,

DFD - thanks very much for your lovely words :o Friday night was a lot of fun. Payday gigs are always good, nothing like a bunch of guys singing along to The Little Mermaid :rotfl:

Wedding fair yesterday went very well - two definitely maybes for bookings and I met some lovely suppliers for the first time.

I'm pretty pleased with what I managed to get done last week:

    Morning all!

I had a lovely couple of days off and have thoroughly enjoyed being spoiled by the boy :) back to reality this morning with sorting the car insurance... managed to get it over £100 cheaper than last year despite now being a full-time singer (very high risk, us entertainers ;) ) and doing more mileage AND having it for full business use. Obviously I managed this using the MSE guide hehe! Managed to get £50 cashback as well which is already tracked and pending. While I was on Topcashback I also played on a new lotto cashback site, earning me £20 cashback from paying £11 for lotto tickets; again already tracked and pending.

Rehearsals are confirmed for the theatre show next week so I really need to crack on with learning all the material Having done a bit of research, I'm going to go to the guy running everything and offer my services to create an online presence - right now there isn't any, and while he's selling the show to theatres he already has contact with, long term we're going to need a website and social media presence at the very least. He'll happily admit to being useless with technology so hopefully he'll take me up on the offer!

Other than that, today I have a phone meeting with a bride, I'm going to do some follow up calls on emails I sent to new homes last week, have a quick workout then I'm meeting a friend for lunch

Everyone has been saying how long January has felt, but I can't believe how fast time is flying! It's been so busy this month - I've earned next to no money but all this prep work will pay dividends later in the year.... I hope!

    Happy Thursday everyone xxx

It would appear I've got the January blues a month late - I'm utterly exhausted and extremely grumpy!

A few good things have happened - I've found somewhere lovely to live (moving on the 18th), rehearsals were great and I've got a few more gigs in for March. But I feel overwhelmed with everything right now and I have no idea where my priorities should lie when it comes to work. I've got six gigs and a wedding fair next week, once that's over I'm going to take a week off paid work (and chasing paid work) to move, sleep, work out a bit and get my life in order. I've nearly double-booked myself for gigs twice recently, which has never happened before, I feel incredibly guilty every minute I'm not working or 'doing something productive', and as a result I'm falling foul to some silly self-sabotage behaviours, like staying on my phone into the early hours doing nothing, eating too much and not moving enough, deliberately not doing daily tasks like budgets etc.

Finances are a bit squeaky but I've got enough money coming in for the next couple of months. Only planned spends today are paying for the PAT testing of all my equipment and buying a diet coke at a networking event tonight.

I'll be fine once I've moved, I think. Just a bit glum.

    Morning! :hello:

Feeling much more positive today. Should be a NSD unless I order a Valentine's card for the boy :D Yesterday was nice - went to a vintage market with the mothership (mostly 80's/90's tat, not my vibe at all so no moey spent on clothes), treated us both to tea and cake, and then we watched the Irish take down Scotland (sorry Uncanny!). Last night was a lazy one in front of Netfl!x with a hot chocolate.

    Lots to get done today:
    Life
    - msg new landlord to sort out bank details
    - finish two study modules
    - check what dates my friend from Canada is coming over
    - sort out volunteer shifts for the months
    - go for walk/jog
    - start writing epic 'week off' list for w/c 18th
    Work
    - keep learning music for first duo/band gig next Saturday
    - go over Valentine's show
    - invoices
    - email bridal client
    - check all my dates and availability and email booking agent - I'm paranoid about making mistakesin my diary now!

    Best crack on!

Ach, nothing to apologise for lass, we lost to a bloody good side and possibly the best in the six nations at the moment.
Grand to see your feeling more positive, you'll be just fine.
I'm off for another hike with the dug, who is currently at my feet giving me the eyes and waggy tail that says I wanna go oot for a walk dad!

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Thanks Uncanny. Ups and downs as always, but in general life is heading in the right direction :) as a neutral (I have Scottish and Irish grandparents), it was a cracker! Sounds lovely, no doggo to walk today but I might venture out to escape from the laptop for an hour. Have fun!

Just done some calculations based on all work confirmed this year - I have enough booked in to cover my rent and food for 2019. If work keeps coming in at the rate it is currently, I'm pretty much on track with my financial goals. I can only imagine how scary that sounds to people in permanent employment :rotfl:

Time to get off my backside and get some steps in before lunch, I reckon!
