redofromstart - they were ok but not fabulous. One confirmed booking and another enquiry, we'll see if any more come in
So firstly, work is long hours but still going well. I'm worried that my lack of sleep is going to start affecting my performance but I have an appointment with the doctor to discuss it tomorrow.
Finances - I can't remember if I mentioned it but I sold the big computer for £1000 and I got a £110 refund from the DVLA because they agreed to reband my car tax :T:T:T I've started the process of transferring my credit card balance to my new 0% card and I have savings!!
Home - Mum is now downsizing and trying to find a 1-bed, and I'm finding a room on my own. The "nightmare neighbour" situation has escalated, the police have been called twice more and they've been just awful.
Well, that's me. Every time life gets easier, I find something else to worry about2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Morning all :hello:
What a gorgeous day today - sunny Devon living up to its moniker for once!!
Not much that needs to be done today - I've got a doctor's appointment in an hour to discuss my sleep (or lack thereof) - it's with a doctor I've never met before so not really sure how much I'll get out of it, but fingers crossed he can come up with that I haven't considered. Short of medication, I'm at a loss! And I've got a 1940's party later for a local nursing home, so my hair's in victory rolls and I'm practicing all my Vera Lynn songs
And that's it! Might head to the storage unit, pick up the boxes and start packing up - I've got one more room to view tomorrow but I'm pretty set on a place I saw yesterday. Either way I'll be moving on Sunday!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Morning all!
I had a really pleasant surprise yesterday at the doctor's - the new doctor took my sleep problem seriously, pointed me to a website with loads of information on insomnia, discussed the options with me and has given me a low-dose SSRI to try for a few months (he agreed that drowsy-mking sleeping tablets wouldn't go well with having to be alert on a ship!).
The viewing for yesterday cancelled but I've got one more at 1pm, then I can make a decision - to be honest, this place will have to be a bit special to beat the one I really like, but I'm trying to keep an open mind
To do list:
- Take car in for last bit of work Already done
- Room viewing and then make decision
- Evening gig
- Sort set list and send to potential wedding booking Already done
- Laundry
- Go through video's of recent gigs
- Paint nails
- Sort set list for tonight
- Contact three agents / gig bookers
- Look up insomnia information
- Banking
- Buy pressies for my best friend and her new baby who I'm seeing tomorrow!
- Update finances
- Online therapy
- Put in prescription
- Sort out final paperwork for volunteering
Busy day! Getting the computer work done with Homes Under the Hammer on
Have a great day, everyone! x

Thanks wishing, I realised afterwards I over-reacted (stupid anxiety) so I decided to delete that bit of my post because I just felt I was way too harsh on my mum. It's getting sorted, thank goodness.
Just getting ready for a gig, not got everything done but for the weekend my focus has to be moving - I've got the go-ahead from my new landlady and I'll be moving Sunday afternoon :T2019 Aim: Save £10,000

It's moving day!
I'm pretty much packed, just waiting for 1pm when I can move. Just got my new balance transfer CC sorted with the direct debit made so on month 28 the balance will clear
I had a lovely but slightly wobbly day yesterday - although I'm glad with how things worked out, all the wedding fever left me with a huge knot in my stomach. I must be the only wedding supplier in the country to have not used it for marketing!!! But then I met my friend's new baby and felt much better.
Feeling a bit anxious today, fingers crossed everything goes well!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

All moved in! It's really gorgeous here, I think I'm going to like it here
Today's been a total write off - I had a migraine that started at 2am that made me really 'poorly' for several hours every 20-30 minutes, and then once I could sleep that's pretty much what I did for the rest of the day... I'm still pretty headachey so other than paying my rent and finishing my packing I'm just going to try and eat and rest.2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Pleased you are moved in. Boooo about the migraine. Are you on daily medication or just 'as required'? I suffer from migraines and have a number of triggers, hormones, stress, strong smells, cheese. But I need a combination of factors for one to kick off. So stress & hormones, a strong smell and stress & cheese etc.
I didn't have a single migraine (thank goodness) while I was pregnant, and since then I've only had 3 or 4. I do still a box of otc medication in the cupboard, but I need it far less often.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

I'm on triptans as and when I need them, but last time they didn't work, and today I caught it too late so I couldn't keep it downYeah, my main triggers are lack of sleep, lack of food and stress - all of which happened yesterday because of the move. I've just started on some new medication for my sleep problems and I'm trying really hard to reduce my stress levels, so hopefully this nasty run of migraines is finished!
I've also realised I now have two month's worth of emergency savings :T:T over the next five months of my contract I'd love to get another three months under my belt. Even on enforced lazy days, I'm planning away!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

In sunny Portsmouth, about to join the ship again. It's been a stressful (if productive) week off, I'm going to try really hard to not put too much pressure on myself to work on the business while I'm away. I feel like I'm chasing my tail constantly because of trying to do too much, so I think rather than try and get stuff done I'm going to come up with a plan for the rest of the year that's manageable.
I'll get paid again when I'm on board, hoping to put away another £300 despite the fact I'm going up to London to see Hamilton To say I'm excited about this is the understatement of the year!! I'm so lucky, my friend has paid for my ticket and accommodation so my only outlay will be travel and paying for dinner for everyone when I'm up there.
In short, I'm going to try and take it easy for the next few weeks to get my health and stress levels to a more manageable level - you know how people have a gym buddy to make them accountable.... I think I need a relaxation buddy :rotfl:2019 Aim: Save £10,000
