See the other thread re; wii play and nunchucks.

Argos wii play are the best deal i think but dont quote me - you get a mini game and controller for £34.97 (and i think a controller on its own is around £30.)

Argos ones are sold out most places but check every morning to see if any have gone back into stock.

If you look at the wii play thread i think they are saying there is a deal online at present in another online shop where you buy wii play and someting else for £40.

EDIT its gamestation according to the other thread.

    Hope that helps a bit.

I am getting confused..... do you get 1 controller and 1 nanchuck with a standard wii?............what do you need to be able to play 2 player? another nanchuck or another controller? or both.... please help a confused man.

and more importnatly where can I get them from?

what's all this about chargers etc ....... help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Right..... :D

Wii console comes with 1 remote and 1 nunchuck.

Some games can be two player without the need for anything extra (i.e. games where players take it in turns like golf or bowling on Wii sports)

Some games can be two player with just one extra remote (and the one that comes with the wii = 2 remotes in total) and these are the games that don't use the nunchuck i.e. 2 player tennis on Wii sports.

    Finally...

Some 2 player games require 2 nunchucks and 2 remotes (or more depending on number of players) i.e. 2 player bowing on wii sports...

So in summary, if you only have 1 nunchuck and 1 remote, you'll still be able to have multi-player fun on Christmas day so don't worry. But if you can get (at least) one extra remote and nunchuck, you'll be able to play more games in 2 player mode... but don't break the bank on ebay to get extras unless you are desperate to get some.

    Hope this helps

Its entirely down to personal choice but you don't get a remote included... they are just plastic parts that your remotes fit into. Driving games for example would prob be better with the steering wheel cos its difficult to hold a thin remote at each end to steer... games like golf and tennis, I am perfectly happy without the add-ons and just use the remote on its own.

All remotes now should come with plastic jackets so you shouldn't need the "silicon gloves".

As I understand it, and i'm no expert!!

The nanchunch is the left/ right hand (depending on if you are left or right handed and in which hand you hold the controller) when playing games that require both hands, boxing as an example, in order to simulate boxing you need to use both hands.

Sorry Marvin, not being nasty, but nanchunch is the best made up word I have heard in ages, made me smile..... :rotfl:

Sorry, not being nasty at all, please don't take wrong way.

Anyone who ordered Wii Play from Amazon.de, how long did it take between dispatch and actually receiving it? Mine was dispatched on the 10th Dec and I've not received it yet.....
