Well, finally got my Wii and now i'm on the hunt for Wii Play.

This morning has taken me to :-

    Argos,
    Virgin,
    Game,
    Currys,
    PC World,
    Toys R Us,

All not in stock and I got them to check other local stores and no stock there either.

Looks like the hunt it back online.

  • I've just ordered a wii from Amazon Germany but was wondering if anyone can advise me on what controllers i need. There's obviously the sports set i can get but haven't a clue on difference between the normal controller or nunchuck?

Usually you will need 2 normal controllers and 2 nunchucks (you get 1 normal & 1 nunchuck with the sports package), for some games like boxing you need a nunchuck so you are "boxing" with a normal controller and a nunchuck in a boxing motion.

I haven't needed anything else for my games.

  • everything you ned to play on your wii is included in the box 1 wiimote and 1 numchuck.

However, if you want the mulitiplayer option some games require additional controllers i.e 1 or more wiimotes ( I think you can have up to 4) . The numchuk plugs into the wiimote to give you 2 handed play.

I would wait until your wii arrives and see how you get on from there. I have had my wii since July and I have 4 children. We only have the original wiimote and numchuk that came with the wii and we manage no problems.

If you decide you do want an extra wiimote the cheapest option is to go for wiiplay as it includes a game as well for not much more.

    Hope this is useful.
