and not going to happen....labour have now shifted their campaigning to letting in more 'refugees' which I am sure will really help those MPs with Brexit Heartland constituencies....

I know it will come as a shock, but it means being an independent self-governing nation like most other nations on the planet. Bizzare eh?
And if your reply is the standard 'we are fully self-governing, independent & sovereign', then my retort will be that we wont miss Brussels governance and oversight then given we apparently already make ALL our own democratic decisions.

Since you have decided Herz to go quiet I shall outline some of the aspects of 'remaining'

Overturning the largest single mandate in our history as Prof John Curtice said on the BBC given the turnout .....who ever wins......it will be difficult to argue they do not have a mandate''

As chuker upper confirmed when asked 'so by one single vote?' 'yes even by one single vote they will win'

It is worth pointing out that both these quotes were made before the actual result, of course the actual result seem to change perceptions...

It will lead to the single greatest constitutional crisis in our history

It will lead to business fleeing the UK as they fear uncertainty particularly third, fourth, fifth referendum

It will mean that someone will have to go crawling to the EU and to each of the EU27 begging to be let in

It will mean that at least 17.4m (many people who voted remain accept the result and just want to get on with it) will never trust the democratic process again

I do accept that 'about 100,000 people want to 'have another vote' although this includes EU citizens who do not get a vote and people under 18 and no EU and non UK people who fancied a walk down the mall in the sunshine, tourists visiting London 'who went with the flow'.......

it will mean accepting unlimited numbers of 'migrants'

    German hegemony over us

    Being part of the Euro

Losing our Gold reserves to Germany

    Joining a centralised super state

    ..........................

The idea that we can simply wind the clock back ex ante 23/6/16 is just wrong, we have moved on (we had a general election that confirmed we are leaving) and the EU has moved on..

Why not use democracy to campaign to rejoin the EU ......I am sure you have lots of arguments to counter those above ......so go on Herz enlighten us.

The only response so far that I've had as to what precisely Remain means is a vague 'oh, it probably means just staying as we are'. Probably. No facts, no evidence.

The reality of what remaining means is far less vague than the prospect of leaving. The only real issue is limiting the damage of a hard brexit by remaining as close to the EU as is possible which is what May wants!

    Who was kidding who?
At 10:52 p.m., the pound rose above $1.50 and reached its highest mark in six months. A few minutes later, Ed Conway, the Sky News economics editor, appeared before a giant screen showing the spike. The pound had been tracking polls for months, Conway explained. Whether they were on couches in London or at trading desks in Chicago, people watching Sky or reading headlines sparked by its coverage had every reason to think Remain would prevail. But not quite everyone.

Was that a bit of dust in Sir Nige's eye when he said Remain had won at 10.02 and the odds of leave winning were 21/2?:rotfl:

Cheers Sir Nige:T for everything you have done for the UK and its citizens

Fair play for your honesty BTW

Has there been any part of Brexit so far that hasn't been a mess?
    .
Like the predicted mass rise in unemployment?
    The predicted house price crash?
The predicted growth rate going negative?
The predicted collapse in N HS funding?
The predicted collapse in the value of the pound?

All project fear's predictions have proved true, so we should pay heed to the sages, crystal ball gazers and UK haters of project fear!!!!

Are you deliberately trying to get this thread pulled just because you disagree with an alternate POV? You really need to read the link:

Trying to bait other users by implying they are somebody else isn't on IMHO. And before you try with me, I am me and not anybody else much though that might jar with your desire to provoke negative reaction.

Sadly its the tactic of many remainers to accuse anyone that doesn't tow their line of being a previous member now banned.

Its also a sure sign their losing the argument.
