If you protest against Brexit, you protest against democracy.

Democracy allows us to protest against things that we think are wrong. If we are denied that right then a country ceases to be democratic. It’s not that hard a concept to understand.

It certainly wasn't a GE focussed on Brexit.

You must have witnessed a different GE then.

The Labour party didn't focus much on Brexit, true.
Why would they? It's not their mess.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

    Mayo :

They are just soundbites. I didn't hear any substantive policy on the costs of an Irish border for example, with pros and cons.

Same with the Impact of new customs arrangements on our South UK entry points.

I heard a lot of talk about the housing charge proposition, and the resulting backlash. I heard a lot about the tuition fees, and renationalisation ideas. The Diane Abbott fiasco was over a poxy 10,000 police officers and the associated cost.

I still think they dodged the issue of Brexit.

kabayiri, the only reason the GE was called, was to give the Tories a stronger mandate for brexit.
Here's the transcript of TM's speech calling for the election:

Read it, it's all about brexit.
To come on here and state the GE wasn't focused on brexit is a bit rich. ;)
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

No. Democracy gives power to the people to decide what they want.

If malcontents attempt to override that decision, that's anti-democratic.
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.

Name me a truly democratic country that doesn’t allow protests.

You appear to be completely blinded by what is said by the likes of Farage and the Daily Mail which doesn’t paint a great picture
    I’m afraid.

    Malcontents :rotfl:

I know, why don't you just have them taken outside and shot?

Stuff Brexit. It's never going to happen in the way you want anyway so you may as well give up on it.

It'll probably not happen the way anyone wants - or expects. However, its still likely to happen in some form.

Remainers aren't 'protesting', they're attempting to overthrow a democratic decision made by the majority.
