There's no relevance unless you are referring to the UK's austerity drive to spend taxpayers money better.

The loons are stamping their feet.

The longer this waking nightmare drags on, the harder it becomes not to warm, a little, to David Davis. As the Brexit Secretary flails about in the frothing waters of his cluelessness !!!8211; not waving, not drowning, just grinning blankly in a heroically misguided effort to project confidence !!!8211; familiarity breeds grudging affection.

If our future is in his hands, this may be what Stockholm syndrome would feel like if your captor was on secondment from the provisional Keystone Kops wing of Baader Meinhoff.

Davis!!!8217;s latest madcap attempt at reassuring us has been the highlight so far in the scintillating sequence of top level Cabinet speeches being officially marketed as !!!8220;The Road to Brexit!!!8221;.

That styling might remind some of Talking Heads single !!!8220;Road to Nowhere!!!8221;. But in the wake of Boris Johnson!!!8217;s keynote bletherfest of last week, and with tours de forces from Liam Fox and Michael Gove to follow, I reckon it!!!8217;s shaping into the movie franchise!!!8217;s most entertaining instalment since 1946!!!8217;s Road to Utopia, in which Bing Crosby and Bob Hope chance upon a hidden goldmine on their way to Alaska.

The opportunity window for a hard brexit is closing fast (if not closed already) and they know it.
  • Even Boris joined the 'traitors'. :rotfl:
BORIS Johnson betrayed his own Brexit campaign by calling it “a mess” in a private meeting with senior German officials

Just one of hundreds of reasons we aren't going to leave without a deal.
Now I'm pretty sure we'll get a deal, but do we have the expertise to do this under the CAA? How many staff will we need to duplicate the functionality?

I will add The Aviation Industry to the list of those effected negatively.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

I hear a lot about WTO rules, perhaps others do to.

These are constantly under review and updated. Anyone can get this information by registering with the WTO.
There are regular emails that detail these reviews. It is in English, French and Spanish.

    This is the latest.

Great News, we will get some news today about Britains position on the transition period.
    From Politico

SCOOP !!!8212; TRANSITION POSITION: Brexit Secretary David Davis will this morning set out Britain!!!8217;s official response to the EU!!!8217;s Brexit transition proposals, POLITICO!!!8217;s Tom McTague reveals. The U.K.!!!8217;s formal position was presented to European Commission bosses yesterday and will be laid before the U.K. parliament this morning via a written statement. DD will demand a mechanism to protect the U.K. from any !!!8220;harm!!!8221; caused by new EU rules and regulations introduced during the 20-month transition period, a Whitehall official tells McTague. But Brexiteers may be less impressed to learn Davis has chosen not to formally reject the EU!!!8217;s demand that all new migrants arriving during the transition period get full freedom of movement rights. This thread seems to largely reflect the conclusions I'm coming to on why Leave & Remain just can't understand each other. I genuinely don't think there's any solution either as both approaches are completely incompatible. I've spent nearly 2 years asking questions like "why?" and "what's the problem your trying to solve?" and getting pretty much nowhere.

    https://twitter.com/garrethhayes/status/965318168028819456

What do people think? Will either side ever be able to understand the concerns of the other?

(any bets on who'll quote a Brexiteer half way down that somehow invalidates the whole argument).
