Brexit, the economy and house prices part 5

Selmayr is the ultimate euronazi, an extremely nasty piece of work. He's in a different league to David Mellor lookalike, Verhofstadt, who's a figure of fun by comparison.
I saw this earlier this week, as another example of what the EU have done to Greece.Greek unemployment steady at 20.9 percent in November, more than twice euro zone'sAmong younger persons aged 15 to 24, the jobless rate eased to 43.7 percent from 46.1 percent in the same month in 2016.
A whole generation there (at least) that won't be sharing the EU's federalist ideology methinks.0 -
Ah, so the EU are trying to overrule our sovereign government despite some telling us they don't then?0 -

On the contrary, because I like living here I don't want to see our country shoot itself in the foot repeatedly.
As we've covered about a hundred times, you can like a country and dislike it's leadership or direction.
If I didn't like living here, I'd use my freedom to move. I can still do that if i ever stop liking here (which is looking more likely due to our current trajectory).0 -

Unemployment down from 27.9 to 20.9% in the space of just 4 years. Some way to go, but not bad.
And I'd take Southern Europe unemployment figures with a pinch of salt if I were you. Think cash in hand, black market...;)0 -

20.9% not bad. Sheeesh.
The reduction in Greece is mainly down to emigration and massaging the numbers.0 -

You think that we should "take Southern Europe unemployment figures with a pinch of salt" do you?
Whereas our own estimated million-plus illegals here all survive on fresh air and don't work at all to support themselves I suppose?
Southern Europe is probably no different to much of the rest of the EU as far as non-disclosed employment which affects statistics is concerned and the way these statistics are calculated is defined by the EU, before you try to say there are differences.0 -

Point 6:
I thought the whole point was to be treated as if we weren't in the eu and that we could do all the required deals on time?0 -
Something about 700 trade deals vanishing if we aren't considered an EU member I believe. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

They plan to create a sweat shop economy environment. This is perfectly in line with the poliical views of Mogg, Johnson, Gove, Fox, Duncan Smith, Deadwood etc. Look at their previous records on workers rights.0
