It makes them far more qualified to vote because they are looking forward and will have to live with a decision they don't want, are educated enough to understand, and that doesn't benefit them. Rather than looking back and not living with the consequences of their decision.
You are showing your ignorance do you really think older people do not think of thier children and grandchildren. I don’t see to many young people being educated in politics and a degree in many subjects will not give the graduate any insight into the effect of brexit. Contrary to what you seem to think most older people have been around long enough to take everything politicians say with a big pinch of salt.

Hmmm. That's quite a series of assertions. How do I know you are young enough for your judgement on them to be trusted?

If they were thinking of their children and grandchildren they wouldn't have voted for something they don't want that in all probability they will reverse anway, with much poorer terms.

If you're expecting thanks from the younger generations for forcing Brexit on them I am afraid you are going to have a rather long wait.

He knows full well that there won’t be a second referendum. I think that what he’s doing here is building himself a position for the future whereby he can claim that he was being fair to Remainers.

It could be we're overthinking it and he just likes the attention that his role as celebrity brexiteer brings.

I not expecting thanks from anyone I voted remain. But that doesn’t mean to say I’m so arrogant that I can’t see there are valid reasons why people voted leave and that I can’t see it is much to early to see what the full effect of brexit will be.

WOW. Farage thinks there should be a second referendum......on the basis that the Leave vote would be even bigger and finish of The Remoaners.

Well, whether you agree with his views or not, he seems to have understood the mood of the British public on this issue better than any other politician in the last 30 years...

The majority of Leave voters are older people who dislike immigration and are unlikely to be educated beyond school level.

What is it we're supposed to "understand" about their motivation?

Older people were young once like in 1974 when presumably they were just as thick as they are today and didn't care much for immigrants then either.

Here's some voting demographics for you. In 1974, 42% of those aged 18-24 who voted in the general election supported Labour. Those people are now over 65 but look, in 2010, only 31% of that age group voted labour but 44% voted tory.

So all this carp about people changing their minds as they get older just isn't carp at all. I'm sorry that us oldies aren't dying out fast enough for people like you to get their wish for another referendum.

    The EU isn't divided?

So Poland is okay then, there's no furore from the EU about Polish forests or their judiciary.

There's certainly no furore in the EU about the German destruction of the Hambach Forset to dig up that most environmentally friendly of fossil fuels, lignite.

    Why might that be?
