  • I was wondering if people had voted Remain would we the country be under pressure to go to Hard Remain? Join the Euro, become part of Schengen, that sort of thing?

I can't see why we would.

Conrad was the only banning that didn't make any sense. He was annoying and right wing but he was generally affable enough. He didn't post constantly that he wanted poor people to be sterilised, or that black people all have learning disabilities. Yet he has gone and these other people remain.
If they banned posters because they don’t make sense there would be hardly anybody left.

I would think so, not least from the EU, which could package any new measure as "well, you voted Remain, so..."

The interesting thing for me is that I do not recall ever having had a conversation with any ardent Remainer ever, until they all came pouring out of the woodwork after last June.

I suspect if we voted remain there would be a large number of leave voters trying to get another referendum. I think the idea of a referendum was to put the whole thing to bed that worked well and just showed how out of touch the government and parts of the press are.

Michel Barnier confirms that any transition period must end on the 31st December 2020, more than long enough, thank you very much....

Well that shock horror was not long in coming.
Britain better start hiring and training all those extra staff they will need at the borders.......unless it was just A myth that Britain had open borders
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Barnier: UK will be offered same deals as South Korea and Canada.

Fair enough. Personally I'd give up a lot to avoid WTO. I honestly can't think of many situations where the WTO is the lesser of the 2 evils.
Over 90% of world trade is under WTO rules. Suggesting that moving to WTO rules would be disastrous Is a remainer myth.
