Brexit, the economy and house prices part 5

Leaks from the UK side indicate that it was the DUP that killed off the deal for now.0

"I foresee some malcontent ahead from the remoaners who were resolute in their conviction that the UK had bowed to EU pressure when it is now obvious that (at least so far) there is zero evidence that they have."
Really?
Is this not you then, earlier today?
Oops.
:rotfl:
You're trying too hard, Medium Sized one.
And failing, as usual.
I was merely linking to an Independent article stating:Britain has agreed a deal with the EU on the issue of the Northern Ireland border that would effectively keep the province in the single market and customs union
Sigh.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Sigh.
I think the author of that piece was reading a bit too much into the wording, I think the wording on this one was deliberately more vague than what had been requested, it sounded a like a fudge to kick the issue down the road, but obviously not enough of a fudge to placate the DUP0 -

OK so given that the article was complete rubbish, I hope you will agree to refrain from citing the Independent as evidence of anything in future.0 -

Does the same apply to the Express after its baying of "BETRAYAL!"
I would take that trade-off personally0 -

Yes. None of the news outlets can be trusted on the progress of the negotiations, because they are continually bombarded by dishonest leaks. They are not capable of separating fact from fiction, so tend to latch on to whichever story best suits their editorial stance.0 -

Definitely learned my lesson here and going forward, will only quote from BrexitCentral and John Redwood's Diary.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

I think many on here would be happy if you stopped quoting altogether and attempted to contribute to the discussion instead.0 -

Is this what Brexiteers meant with taking control of our borders?
I wouldn't look so smug Mayo, If the deal is done (Which I'm not sure will be ) and NI remained in the customs Union and single market, FOM would still end and the UK will control/limit EU migrants moving to the UK/NI.
So that begs the question ,Why didn't the EU do a deal with Cameron with regards to the UK ending FOM ?. If they had we would probably have remained in the EU . How pathetic of the EU is that.
We are often told by the EU that you take all of it or nothing well FOM for EU migrants ain't gonna happen with NI ,only citizens of Eire will be allowed FOM.
Good on the DUP for standing up for their voters........0 -

Trying too hard etc? ? ? ?
You're almost funny with the emphasis on "almost".
Why not call me Elvis? Lord Lucan? Heck why not go the whole hog and say I'm Shergar in disguise!
:rotfl:
The funny thing is that you don't say such things about the real AE's like who's that and ridged toast from what I've read on here.
Any comment as to why not?
Why is it only those who oppose your views that get accused?
You very clearly said "Is this what Brexiteers meant with taking control of our borders?" complete with a smiley.
Trying to deny that you were feeling smug at the thought of causing discomfort to others after posting that won't work.
It looks to me like a sure sign that this mayonnaise has reached its sell-by date after being well-shaken.
