Adventure wanted, but first we must rid ourselves of debt

Morning ,
All 3 DC have woken up with heavy colds, so we've cancelled our plans for today and instead are going to have a relaxing day at home.
My gumtree buyer turned up this morning, so that's another £10 made. I'd already sent £5 to CC3 this morning, but have just sent the £10 sale proceeds to CC3 too. I'm actually really enjoying getting rid of our stuff! I still struggle with setting the price for things, as people want everything for nothing and it's fairly depressing when you think about how much you paid for it in the first place. I guess at the end of the day I've had my use out of it and I was happy with the price when I bought it, so getting anything for it is a bonus.

Bank account has been checked and ynab updated. Ive sent £13 to CC3 today. Only a few more days until pay day and the month end round up. I love the month end round up. It is very satisfying seeing the debt figure going down.
I am hopefully having someone collect something else I'm selling on gumtree this afternoon. Will be brilliant if it does go, as that'll be a sale each day for the last 3 days. It's definitely not my favourite thing having strangers come round to my house to buy things when I'm at home on my own with the DC, but hey ho, needs must.
DH's best mate is moving overseas and DH has mentioned about visiting them next year. It would be an amazing trip and really lovely to see him, but very expensive. I'd really like to make it work, but don't want it to hinder the debt busting. I think if DH can do additional days at work we can split that money between debt and travel. Hopefully we can save enough money to make it happen.LBM Aug 2017.

Whoop whoop the gazebo has been collected and I'm £25 better off
. Now the question is do I continue to use additional cash made to pay extra off the CCs or do I put it towards something else, such as the holiday fund .

Morning,
Pay day tomorrow and the budget is still balancing at the moment. I've paid £16 to CC3 today, which is the last of the available cash. Well until payday tomorrow when I get to pay my usual larger payment.
DH working away so much and the fact it's summer holidays has meant that I actually have money left in my days out fund (around £30). For us everywhere gets so busy over the summer holidays, so we tend to do play dates with friends at home rather than venture to the places we usually visit during term time. When the schools go back our days out will commence and hopefully the amount spent each month can be kept sensible. One of the friends we usually go out with enjoys spending money (lots of money!!), so it's always tough on days out with them to be the one saying no to hot meals in the restaurant (we'd choose something cheap like tea cakes or scones) and not spending lots on rides, amusements, expensive entry fees to places, etc.
We've got another play date today, so need to do a quick tidy round again. The DCs still have colds, but are a lot better in themselves. I can feel the start of a cold coming on, which isn't being helped by DC3s atrocious sleeping at the moment. DC2 sneezed last night and woke DC3 up (we live in a newish build, so the walls between their rooms are thin). Hoping once DH is home each night we can try and improve her sleeping.LBM Aug 2017.

Well done on the sales :T I'd split the money from the sales between the holiday fund and the CC then you can pay a little extra to both"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Payday today so I've made my final payment for the month. £325 has been transferred to CC3, so I can now do my month end debt round up (I love this bit
).
Total debt at 30/8/18
CC1 - £0
CC2 - £0
CC3- £7,969
CC4 - £11,700
Total debt - £19,669.
(Total debt at 30/7/18 - £21,255)
Whoop whoop I'm in the £19ks :j :j
I can't quite believe I've managed to pay £1,586 off this month! £500 of this was the tax refund we received, but still I'm really happy with the way things are going. Next step is getting in to the £18ks.
It's funny really, as when I cleared CC2 and had to start on CC3 I was feeling really daunted at how large the figure was. It just shows that by keeping chipping away at the debt, that things can change for the better fairly quickly. Can't wait to get CC4 below £10k, as the debt figures won't feel quite so horrific then! Although I won't pay anything above the £130 I pay each month for this until CC3 is cleared, as it's 0% doesn't end until October 2020.

That is fantastic! Have you got an aim of what you want your debt to be at by the end of the year? You'll have your debts cleared off in no time!0

I'm aiming to be in the £16k's by the end of December. Would be amazing if I could get it in the £15ks, but think that would be a step too far. Will have to see how many extra days DH can do!!LBM Aug 2017.
