Shame about DH working away. Glad you were on the same page with the new job though!

Can't believe the weekend is almost over :(. DH is working away again next week, so today I have been batch cooking meals for him to take, as well as food for us at home. I love batch cooking meals, as it makes it so much easier on days when I'm busy just to grab something out of the freezer and reheat :).

I've managed to pay an extra £7 off CC3 today. Seems like ages since I've been able to pad on a daily basis, but money is definitely tighter at the moment and I'm determined not to use the business account as a security blanket. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll start selling the mass of children's clothes I've decluttered. I just need to sort out bundles and take lots of photos. I'm kind of dreading it, as know it'll take ages, but I am looking forward to seeing how much money I can make. Hopefully the more I earn selling bits, the keener I'll be to sell more and before I know it I'll have a lovely decluttered house!! (This is slightly wishful thinking - in reality it's going to take ages to sort through the amount of junk we've accumulated).

My PA account is sat at £19 with £3 pending. Really hoping they review the surveys tonight and okay it, as can't wait to cash out the £20.

Just paid £65 to CC3, which takes the balance below £10k :D. It feels like quite a big win, which after a couple of days feeling rubbish about the debt levels is pretty good. Still A LONG way to go, but it's a step in the right direction.

    Thanks Jwil :).

Today I've rounded down my bank account and sent £1.52 to debt savings and sent £35 top cashback money to the EF.

EF is now at £,1,480. Only £1,020 to go to get to my first target. It's going to take a few months to get there, but it'll definitely be a relief when it is at this amount.
Ideally they recommend to have 3 months salary saved, but it would take ages to get to this amount. I guess once it's at a decent amount I could redirect the EF monthly savings to debt repayments. But anyway, I'll stick with goal 1 and once achieved create a new one.

Hopefully it'll be a slightly cooler day today. The sun has been lovely, but I'm ready for some rain and cooler temperatures. It hasn't rained here since 2nd June and our garden is suffering lots :(. Our house gets ridicuously hot and it's really hard to get rid of the heat upstairs, so DC2&3's bedrooms have been about 27 degrees overnight for the last few days . Anyway, hope everyone has a good day :D.

The £22.20 from PA has hit my bank account today, so I've paid £15 to EF, £7 to CC3 and 20p to debt savings.

EF is now at £1,495 :D. Prior to starting this debt journey I didn't think we'd be able to have savings for years. In fact my idea of an emergency fund was keeping a CC with a decent credit limit just in case. Really pleased that we are turning the tide on our behaviour and debt situation. Can't wait for the day it's all paid, we have healthy savings and money earned is all ours!

Listed 7 things on eBay yesterday. Fingers crossed they sell. Took forever listing it, but I'm glad it's done (well the first tiny batch is on!). My mum was brilliant yesterday helping me list bits (giving me a bit of a shove to actually do it!). Was nice having someone there to advise on prices, etc. Definitely made it slightly less boring! Might try and have a look through my wardrobe later and see if there's anything else I could get shot of, especially if I could sell it rather than just charity shop it. I reckon I only wear about 3 tops, 2 pairs of trousers and a couple of dresses in my whole wardrobe/drawers, so there must be lots to choose from.

Well I've had a busy few days, which I'm hoping I won't have to repeat anytime soon. On Thursday DC2 was hit in the mouth by a child wearing a climbing helmet, so has knocked her two front teeth. There was a reasonable amount of blood and a lot of tears. The teeth are still in, but are wobbly and the gum is bruised. DC2 has a fear of her teeth falling out, so didn't eat anything other than a yogurt Thursday lunchtime onwards and a few mouthfuls of pasta yesterday. She also was barely drinking, and then this morning started vomiting. So today after a chat to nhs Direct, we had to pop up to a&e to get checked over for dehydration. Her blood sugar levels were low from not eating and drinking, so had to stay in for a few hours until she'd drink some apple juice and eat some crisps. I've never had to go to a&e before, but it was so efficient. We walked straight in and spoke to reception, who then took us to the children's a&e. The nurse we saw was amazing and was really good at reassuring DC2. Luckily since being back this afternoon DC2 has been drinking more and eating a few crisps. You can definitely tell the difference in blood sugar levels, as this morning DC2 was lethargic and really unhappy and this afternoon she's happily painting and chatting away.
The doctor & nurse both recommended I get the teeth taken out by the dentist ASAP, as last time DC2 had a wobbly tooth she didn't really eat for 3 days! Not looking forward to that dentist trip :(.

Anyway, i rounded down my bank account last night sending £8 to CC3 and 30p to debt savings. I had over £5 in the debt savings, so I've transferred £5 to the EF taking the balance to £1,500 :).
