So... Valli, did you actually get up in the middle of the night to use the steam Vax thingy. That is some flylady dedication.
DS2 been home recovering from sickness bug. DH been home doing some decorating because he is feeling off it. DS1 got home from work an hour before me. Did I really expect someone to have started cooking tea when I came home from a day at work? Sigh.
So two lots of paid stuff done, threw some chicken into a jar of sauce to make curry for me and DS1, one load of washing in to hang out tomorrow. Need to check online banking and really should try and do a little more paid stuff.0 -
It must have been the sheer jealousy of Vali having a steam thingy that got me going this morning...
Before I went to work, I had done HHI, put DW on, dug some ribs out of the freezer for dinner, and cleaned the bathroom. When I got back, I dusted and vacced downstairs, emptied the DW, ran the WM, did a couple of bits of admin on the laptop, and stuck the ribs in to marinade. The kitchen has been sort of tidied, so not so bad. Tomorrow is generally a no fly day, so I'm getting ahead while I can!
Next week, I really must get back to more efficient meal planning as I'm winging it at the mo, and forgetting to get stuff out of the freezer and not doing packups for the next day. The SC needs to be back in full time action.0 -

:rotfl: no that was when I got up to go to the loo as I always try to put DW and WM on as is cheap rate .
But the cat had messed the floor (stealing food) so a bit got steamed again this morning:cool:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Ha Valli I know you were excited about the steamer but I was actually slightly worried about you. Feel strangely relieved that none of us have got to the point of cleaning in our sleep.
Mind you I think I have just been sleep-working. I am so tired. Clocking off now. Dad to hospital for a check up tomorrow so day off paid stuff no. 1. Lots of other stuff to do though.0 -
Evening,
I've been AWOL what with it being Thursday and all. But, having got home at 7:20 I've fed and bathed the kids, put them to bed and came back down to clean the kitchen which was just full of carp. I've also stuck a wash on as there's a few bits I need for the weekend.
Chazzer bags ready for tomorrow, curtain pole not collected  why do people do that - you either bl00dy want it or you don't. Pfft.
Lowlight of day: freezing cold tonight at the 3G pitch. Highlight of the day: seeing a live one-man haka performanceDS said he wants to learn it :rotfl: it might help with their football lol

I spent the whole morning talking to my friend over bacon sandwiches, coffee and cups of tea
Then I went to MrS for the bi-monthly shop of things that I can't get at @!&| - it was expensive  After lunch I managed to get out in the garden for an hour or so, swept up all the leaves that had fallen on the lawn this week and even tidied up the borders. Rosie had a good long walk with me before tea, and this evening I have spent an hour on the phone to my SiL.
Other flying has consisted of washing and drying my warm jacket, S&S'ing the bathroom and kitchen and making the bed.
It's been a good day, though I haven't got round to doing any studying, and I shall simply have to get on with it tomorrow.
(((Hugs))) all round as needed for those who are poorly, tired, overworked, underpaid or just plain fed up x
High-fives to everyone else0 -
Evening all
High-fives returned Iona
Had a lovely treat today. Was watching from the balcony the gannets wheeling and diving and a pod of dolphins appeared ! We only get to see them about twice a year, at the most, and they were really close to our side as well. About eight of them and they were having a lovely game, chasing about and leaping out of the water - wish the weather had been better for some piccies.
Went for my ECG today. DH took me on his way to work, I was in there for thirty minutes and then it took me two hours to get home with the buses - sigh. Pleased I took a book with me.

Hi Fliers,
Went AWOL yesterday, chest infection was way worse. All breathless and tired. However, managed to get the kids to swimming lessons and fed them afterwards, so I don't feel bad about not doing any flying. Then DS woke up at midnight with a pain in his ear so I only had about 5 hours sleep last night... Still, I feel better today so I need to catch up on chores. Already put the bin and recycling out and sent the kids off to school with packed lunches.
Plan:
Level 1
Washing up
Change bed and wash sheets
Vacuum landing and stairs
Walk dog
Level 2
Clean fridge
Clean kitchen windows
Coat of paint on upcycling project
Level 3
Sort and tidy 1 cupboard
Spend 15 minutes tidying the playroom

Morning All
Piggybankshaker - take it easy today love, sounds like you need some RnR to recharge your batteries x
Lynn - sorry to hear you had a rotten journey home. Thank goodness for good books!
Up since 5.30 with DS  so lots done already:
- kids to school / pre-school
- two loads of washing on line
- one load on heated airer
- DW unloaded and reloaded
- beds made.
I've had a late breakfast and will be popping out shortly to get some much needed supplies. Was going to walk to try and get my step count up but it's just started raining. Hoping DH will be home from work in time to assemble some shelves for DS room.
Looking forward to wine & burgers tonight. Back later xxMFW
