Should regs be posted on main board?

Posting them with an end date E: 31/13?That's a good idea mum2, but I'm loathe to do anymore, because if I did, I still can't see anything happening. I'm genuinely not having a go at anyone - and definitely not Glad or any of the BGs. It's the way things 'work' here.
Anyone else feel like taking it on?

Posting on the main board with an end date of E: 31/12If advents weren't posted on the main board, how would they work? Especially those where new questions appear each day ...
If the main problem is that 'regular' comps are being moved from main to regs (and so don't have a presence on main) then isn't this easily rectified by making sure all BGs know to not move them off main? As only BGs can move them, it must be them doing the movingUnless people are mistakenly just adding them to regs board and not posting on main first ...
Or have I read it totally wrong? I'm sure I saw a post where it said BGs are moving them, but can't find it now.

Posting them with an end date E: 31/13?choices are
leave it as it is and some people change their way of comping so they don't miss out on comps posted in regs
post all comps on main board and some people change their way of comping to accomodate that
it's your board and I'm happy to BG it however it works best for you, it's deciding as a community how to set it up that's always the sticking point
Glad - is there any chance you could set up a poll with these two choices?
Perhaps consider posting it on the main board and not in compers chat corner, as less people visit CCC.0 -
Having an on-going thread on the main board which gets bumped when new regular comps are postedI realise I am a bit late to the party but have only just caught up reading the thread. Have skipped the bit which aren't actually about the reg boards. Apologies if this means I have missed some relevant posts.
I like the idea of getting rid of the extra board mostly as I don't use it and it appears to be making extra work for some people having to post twice or links or something. Ren's suggestion for the title also seams sensible as it would be easy for end date compers to work out which are ongoing comps. Would be a good idea to maybe have the prize somewhere obvious as it changes.
Have been a bit confused in the past by multiple entry competitions being posted in daily thread. There are some you can enter lots of times in one go and they are different to the one entry per day ones. Could we try and keep them separate?
If we are going to have a poll to get rid of the reg board could we have the alternative laid out in advance? I mean it would be really stupid to vote to get rid of something without a clear plan as to what is going to replace it. (That may or may not have been a slight dig at those who voted to leave the EU).Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.

Sorry, Our Lass. My bad. What I am suggesting is nothing to do with the advents (or the C2Ws). I'm only talking about the other, standard, on-going comps, that are currently posted directly to the regs, or moved there.

Any other suggestions?Perhaps is time to properly shake things up and streamline the main board for the benefit of most users (70 to 80%).
The vast majority of users have no interest in "smaller" prizes, and would probably be happy for all smaller competitions not to be posted on the main not just the regular ones.
A large number of posts near their end-date have less that 300 views (a good number of those are less than 200) but things like an echo dot, iphone, google pixel, holiday vouchers etc have well over 1,000 each so for the majority of users ditching the smaller prizes would make the main board easier to use and make it less likely they would miss the prizes they want.
To that end perhaps there should be a minimum prize value set for the main board and nothing worth say less than £50 posted on there, then rename regulars "low value prizes" and post them all over there for the "hardcore" to use.
Not seriously, I like all in one place and there are other sites that have a higher percentage of cream/sort methods if people want it, but having less would not necessarily be a bad thing for most users.0 -
Having an on-going thread on the main board which gets bumped when new regular comps are postedI much prefer having it all in one place. Health concerns means I can't go on holiday, drive, or take advantage of a lot of comps - but it really doesn't take much to put an X and move on. Many of the smaller comps are right up my street - one man's meat and all that. There are plenty of sites that have categories, and it's not that hard to search if there's only one or two things you're interested in. Some of the dafter prizes I don't enter for and some things I click on and think yuk, but it all adds to the fun for me. I don't want to mechanically enter for stuff I want to enjoy the whole process and mostly I do - and the somewhat ad hoc feel to the main board is part of that enjoyment for me.2018 - £562 2019 - £130 2020 - £276 2021 - £106 2022 - £1400

Having an on-going thread on the main board which gets bumped when new regular comps are postedIt would be hard to distinguish which prizes are worthy to be posted on the main board. I mean there is a huge demand for a the famous fish slice and many wouldn't say no to cheese! If people are after a particular prize then all they have to do is use the search function:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

They are both worth well under £50 so would both be out, the fish slice deservedly so as it's regularly well under 300 views, the cheese (naturally) is one of the highest viewed small prizes and has twice as many views at around 550.
(Just to reiterate it isn't a serious proposal)0
