Maybe that's why I get so little of it done! Having said that, I've washed the towels, done a family zoom call, roasted carrots, beetroots and butternut squash, and made a vat of green soup with ends/ribs/stuff that looks like it won't last long. I've also frozen the remains of the rhubarb so I can have it with mackerel again over the next couple of weeks. With all this soup-making going on I'll have plenty in stock by the time the dentist finally reopens and I can have my bone graft.
Green soup for lunch, beef shortrib from the freezer tonight, with some of the huge pot of red cabbage I defrosted the other day and roasted kale (I have far too much kale as I get a vast bag every week).
I must remember to reply to the email from the physio, and pay the boat insurance (although I'm not sure whether we'll end up using it this year). I should also have a look at my S&S ISA - I think there's a tiny bit of cash left with the old provider from when I did the transfer, and I also need to make sure that there is cash available for the fees in the new one. I'm not even going to think about my pensions right now... although in theory it's a good time to buy. I'm just going to focus on getting stuff done in the house/garden that needs doing, while maintaining my emergency fund seeing as right now feels like the kind of time when you need one.5 -

It's just a pity that I seem to spending all the money I should be saving due to the lack of waxing/nail/hair appointments! But for the moment I'm not going to replace the epilator. It's only for emergency use and is good enough for the moment.6 -
Busy week and weekend.
Raised bed built and filled last week, and fencing put up. The contents of the compost bins went into the bottom of the raised bed, so I sorted that area out and finally unpacked the hotbin that has been lurking on the doorstep for a week and set it up. It's ready for when I have stuff to put in it! I also put the veg cage together (another thing that has arrived with the wrong set of parts - I've emailed, so hopefully they'll send replacements, as the frame is currently 30cm shorter than the net) and planted my broad beans and the second batch of strawberries, plus sown lettuces and radishes. I need to get round to sowing carrots at some point.
Plans are in place for a second raised bed, building a larger compost bin to replace the 4 tiny ones (it's a long narrow space) and sorting out some paving at the front where I have an open porch. Greenhouse is ordered. I also managed to cut the long grass round the new hedge/shrubbery that I'm growing on the north west side. It's doing well, but this should help. And tied up a rowan that was growing at a peculiar angle! It may be planted too close to one of the others, so I need to keep an eye on it and consider moving it in the winter. Weeding of stream was also done, so compost bins are full again (ready to go into the bottom of the second raised bed!) and I have until Thursday night to do some more and fill garden waste bags.
Kitchen plans gone through carefully and email sent to fitter. Email to kitchen company needs a couple more checks made before I send it of.
I also tidied my office last night as work wanted pictures for an internal comms series on home offices... I moved lots of stuff around including finally putting all the books that should be in there back in. It looks lovely and frees up lots of space in the sitting room bookshelves. Now I just need to clear out the box of cables so there is room to put all my music stuff in there. I might play again one day, but at least it would be more accessible and free up storage in the sitting room (and then by extension in the dining room).
Bank account is looking scarily empty, but I've paid for oil and labour this month from cashflow, so I'm not worrying too much yet.5 -

Not had a good week - very tired, didn't stick to my 800 cals on Monday (probably because I got cold) and struggled to concentrate during evening yoga. Struggled again with Pilates and yoga on Tuesday, and ate too much after yoga. Then on Wednesday didn't manage to get up until around midday - coffee and a biscuit in bed, and just managed to shower and dress and have some soup for lunch by my 2pm meeting. But again, ended up eating too much because of not thinking about it. Similar problems today - starting well, but not focussed enough.
However, I've at least managed to do some work and get outside and do some gardening (green waste collection tomorrow morning). I cleared more weed from the stream and moved some water forget-me-not - weeding the vast amount of water parsnip out while keeping the stuff I want is hard work. The garden waste bags are all full, but I've stirred the compost bins and emptied one, so there's room to do a bit more over the weekend.
I was going to catch up on laundry today (I haven't done any while feeling grotty, and I finally stripped my bed this morning which definitely needed doing) but noticed that the shower was burping, and when I went outside there was no noise from the sewage system. So I texted my neighbour (it's my sewage system, 5 neighbours also use it, so one of them does the finances and another manages it to avoid any conflicts of interest) who is responsible for running it and he's got it sorted out. I need to put a load on a timer to be finished first thing tomorrow and work through the rest over the weekend as it's cluttering up the bathroom floor. Having got the office nice and tidy on Sunday, I'm hoping to get a few more bits of the house sorted out. I've moved all my music into the office, which emptied half a cupboard in the sitting room - so I've moved the rest of the alcohol (gin, whisky, liqueurs for chocolate making) in with what was already in there and which has made some space in the dining room. I'm going to have to empty the kitchen at some point so anything I can move now is a help. I've also moved books down from upstairs and reorganised the sitting room bookshelves. There are still a lot of cookbooks in them, so once the kitchen is done I'll have more room to start buying books again
Greenhouse is due for delivery on June 4th, so I just need to keep the tomatoes alive until then. I need to think about what else I might want to grow in there. The other raised bed will be done week after next, so I need to plan what will go in it. And I've got some sweet peas that need planting, so have to decide where to put them. And sow the carrots. There probably won't be anything available for an OP this month as I've been spending fairly liberally.
I've also had the quote for the kitchen electrics, and got back to the kitchen company with queries as well as contacting the fitter. The original plan was for June - that won't happen, but I'm sure it'll be done by the end of the summer. I really need to choose new front and back doors too, as those will make a huge difference to how warm the house is in winter. In fact doing the back door now would make a huge difference...
Thanks to the new rules I'm finally going to see my brother this weekend. We're going to meet for a walk, so I'll go over to his and wave and his wife and the kids before we take the dog out for a bit. It'll be nice to catch up with him.

Thanks @Jessy103
I've just had a delivery of another raised planter with a cover and a new potting bench, so that should keep me busy over the weekend. I hope this cold wind goes away, as I have lots of weeding to do, along with the relocation of all the self-seeded plants.
