As both dishwashers have the same problem I think it's the plumbing that needs cleaning. It doesn't get far enough through the cycle for any cleaner to work (I've put citric acid in to clean it out and descale after being stored). As neither of them can get a cycle running properly, it's most likely they can't drain due to rubbish plumbing. Not the only rubbish plumbing in this house….

Must move and start sorting the greenhouse. Then at least there will be room in the kitchen for washing up 😂

The whole of the inside of the greenhouse is clean, and three quarters of the outside. I need to move stuff back in/put it away before I can clean the back. Which hopefullly won't take quite so long.

We've also had a nice walk with a neighbour, and I've messaged the builder a query about moving a window which we talked about yesterday but didn't really consider as a reality. I'm hoping he can get the bricklayer to agree to it.

The whole of the greenhouse is now clean and anything that I don't want to be rained on has been put away. Rail tickets to Edinburgh have been booked for the festival for me and my mum (thanks to @redofromstart for helping me out with getting the a discount on them). Quadrupeds fed - Stinky is eating his kong outside happily as the door is open.

Really should do some work now… I also need a shower but there may not be time for both food and getting clean!

Food is way more important than being clean!

I've got a window that needs moving before we put our new utility in too. It seems like such a huge job and I think it's what has put us off cracking on and doing the DIY bits ourselves as we need some help with that bit. Didn't consider we might need planning? Best check on that... although it's a side window that can't be seen from the road, but I guess you never know.

    Today will mostly involve weeding…

I have potted up some courgette seedlings that had outgrown their modules within about 3 seconds of germinating (no clue why I put them in modules, I usually stick them in pots but it might have been because I was working in the kitchen instead of the greenhouse and was short of space).

Have done a LOT of weeding. And some mulching. Forgot to pot up the tomatoes, so I'd better do that tomorrow. Along with a lot more weeding and mulching.

I also tied up the raspberries - at least those that are tall enough to reach the wires.

Stinky had a couple of walks, clearly neither of them long enough. And he's also of the opinion that vegetable gardening is boring - even though I now let him in there while I'm working (mostly because there are no strawberries for him to eat).

And I need to order carrot seeds, as I didn't have enough, and also forgot that they don't like being mulched, so the ones I did sow are unlikely to make it through the very thick layer of partly-composted mulch that I put over them!

I've also liberated a pork belly joint from the freezer and defrosted it, so need to think about how to cook it tomorrow.

I’m starting to think that there is no level of walks that would satisfy Stinky … 😉

Well done on all the weeding. Really going to try to get out in the garden myself today. I seem to be having something of a mental block on it …
