Not nearly as cold today which is nice, but I’m still feeling headachy (stress probably). Need to make some progress with work, but also need to pick up my mum’s prescription and get it to her once the car is up and running again. Also need to prioritise cleaning up the greenhouse this weekend as the tomato seedlings are getting leggy! Plus I’d like to reclaim the kitchen.

Cleaner here today, so I need to tidy the bits of the house she can get to so she has a chance of making some kind of impression on the dust and mess. So need to get moving now I’ve had coffee and get that done. Poor Stinky will need a proper walk and some company too (but at least he didn’t ask to go out and play with the hedgehog at 1am last night!).

Ah ha! That is probably why WattyDog has taken to wanting to go out at that time. VNM is thinking WattyDog needs a late night wee and grumbled this morning that they were out walking for the last 3 nights along the road because WattyDog wanted to go out but after a long walk there was no sign of a pee!

We used to just let him out but by the end of the day he is stiff and tired and does not really want to do the steps in to the garden so VNM came up with the late night potter along the lane - but - reading your post the local hedgehog is probably about.

If I let Stinky out on his own, unless he's desperate, he just sits by the door and stares at it waiting for me! So I have to go out into the garden with him and make sure he actually goes for a wee (also means if I need to clear up after him I know about it, so that's handy). But I don't appreciate the request to go out at stupid o'clock.

Car battery done - need to take the car for a drive to clear the faults. Some work done. Dog walked. Need to combine car exercise with picking up my mum's prescription and taking it over to her as she's not well - too much gardening followed by lots of driving Sat/Sun/Mon means she's been in pain and in bed all week. Dispensary is closed 1-2 so I'll head over just before 2pm to pick up leaving the dog with the cleaner and hope to get back here in time for the meeting I actually need to attend on video.

I'm still grumpy about the dishwasher. Hoping the handyman can have a go at the plumbing on Tuesday and see whether that improves things.

In good news, the person who didn't show up when she was supposed to on Saturday to collect the huge COD did turn up this morning. And in a vehicle big enough for all the drawers. Her husband asked for a video of how to put it together… surely you ask before you turn up to collect something? I told them there wasn't one, so they could either pay and take it, or go home. It's actually very good quality, just not to my taste. It was installed by the previous owners and I have no information about it, instructions, videos, or even manufacturer details. But if I could manage to take it apart, put it together, and take it apart again, then it can't be that hard… Most importantly, it's gone, and I've shifted enough stuff on FBMP to pay for a month of pet food. I'll try to get the rest of the stuff to the CS next week - I'll take it down when I load up the car just in case we get another fiver at some point…

I've also got the extension lead out of the garage, and as it isn't raining, I'm going to go and empty the rest of the stuff out of the greenhouse and try to get it cleaned this morning so I can move my seed trays in there later today. Poor Stinky is going to be very fed up, but he's had some decent walks recently.

Recent "decent walks" are past and therefore do not count for the day. You will realise how I know this 😀

Stinky says he's neglected and hasn't had a walk since before breakfast. He appreciates your support!

Popping back in - just a thought - have you tried dishwasher cleaner? It sounds like it might be a planning problem but I just remembered a past dishwasher that I replaced. When the firm delivered it they took away the old one and one of the men looked at it and said that it would sell nicely - so - I pointed out what was wrong with it and he said he would take it to the workshop put in some industrial dishwasher cleaner they have and that would fix the problem. I read you are using the cleaning cycle - but - apparently they need industrial chemical stuff when they get bunged up (note technical terms!)

At the time I was pretty fed up as I'd bought a new one, when, apparently all I needed to buy was extra strong chemical stuff so I never grilled him for better information but I thought I would pass it on in case it helps.
