You wanna be careful or you'll end up being a one-woman Parish Council at this rate, sorting all these local issues … 😉

Huge well done on getting the call to the pump supplier / retailer done and a coherent plan defined. That has been 'noise' coming at you for some time now.

I think our animals struggle with SAD as much as we do. Doesn't make them any less annoying though! 😉 Mr KK was up at 5.30am yesterday to go out for his militaria sale jaunt, so Miss Chloe was scratching my door down and mewing at me, at … you guessed it … 5.30am this morning! (I normally surface at c. 6.15 am). 🙄

I think this lot just take it in turns (well, Stinky and Stripey cat - not-Fatty just nips out to go to the loo occasionally at this time of year).

BNS cooked while I was out walking, so lick mat production line is up and running. Will be followed by kong production line until BNS and overripe bananas are used up.

Huge salad again for lunch. Getting short of salad stuff so need to dig more soup out of the freezer. I do have sprouting seeds, and did spot some radicchio in the garden when I went to admire the leeks earlier (must dig them up and use them soon).

I am delighted that you have leeks that are worthy of admiration … Mine are still pencils! 🤣

What soup will you have today? I have cauli, broccoli and cheese to which I will tip in a tablespoon of precooked puy lentils. 😊

Didn’t get to the freezer, so haven’t extracted any soup yet!

Leeks are a product of neglect - I didn’t get round to thinning them, so they’re not great!

Stinky refused to poo last night at bedtime (and on several trips outside before that) for the second day in a row. Today’s wake up call was 4.40am. After which Stripey cat wanted to play… so am tired and grumpy. However, I’ve fed them all, had coffee, the overnight load of laundry is on the airer, and I’ve done Pilates. Next up is getting dressed for a walk (and hopefully dealing with some work email while I’m out), then I need a shower and a hair wash before I start work.

Broccoli and cheese soup here for lunch with garlic bread! Yum.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

No soup here. There's some mediterranean veg soup defrosting along with some other stuff in the fridge.

Big salad for lunch, then red onion, garlic, and shredded sprouts sauted and defrosted roasted red peppers and tomatoes added along with some chickpeas and a bit of leftover lentil bolognese. Topped with a bit of parmesan.

Builders coming today to look at leaky window, cat flap options into garage, and talk through a plan for the rest of the work and what order to do it in plus what paperwork needs to be done. And how to work out costs. The good thing (hopefully) about having to do building regs paperwork is that they’ll have to specify materials so can provide a written plan and quote up front. And I don’t want to be living in a building site.

Another looking forward to lighter evenings and being able to be outside with WattyDog rather than on the sofa waiting for bedtime.

That's why I do simple crafting type things in the winter months like tapestry (though my fingers have been so sore with splitting since Christmas that I have struggled …).
