The anticipated negative pricing didn't materialise, but it's still cheap, so I'm scheduling the stuff that needs to be done in the cheap slots.
So overnight I'll dry a dog bed (already washed) in the TD, dry a load of clothes (already washed) on the airer, wash my bedding (hoping to hang it on the line tomorrow, but may need the airer later), heat the water, heat the house ready for getting up (but only what's needed - not my office or the towel rail in my ensuite as I haven't moved back in there), and charge the battery - I can get more exporting the solar than I'm paying to charge.
In the morning I'll prep some soup for the SC, as well as some brownies and a veg/salmon traybake and do these in the later morning slots.
Other jobs to do- Plant clematis and eleventy billion bulbs that I accidentally ordered
- Prep and freeze muntjac
- Move logs (bring the wheelbarrow round, but hopefully get to the end of the bought-in stuff.
- Kindling
- Hang bedroom curtains, make bed and move rest of furniture back in
- Hang pictures in spare room
- Clear tomatoes from greenhouse
- Start clearing greenhouse paths and covering with cardboard/bark mulch

WM and TD ready to go. Bed stripped and remade (stripey cat VERY cross about that). Live vole removed from utility room (Fatty unimpressed). Pizza for supper (why, when I have perfectly good food in the fridge which won't make me feel rubbish tomorrow?). Need to decide where the airer is going to go overnight and programme a plug for it.2

Forgot to turn the battery on to charge from grid until 4am 🙄 but at least remembered then! It's now full, and all the solar is being exported. I've just brought the washing in from the line - not dry, but it's on the airer to finish off.
I've made black bean, beetroot, and prune brownies (no sugar), and have shoved some veg and salmon into the oven to cook as it's up to temperature. Dog has had a short walk. Didn't get much of a lie-in but I did go back to bed after feeding everyone for a bit... until the cats came up for their post-breakfast nap and took over the bed!
Electric blanket instead of HWBs seemed to help with sleep as the temperature is more consistent, so I've ordered one for my own bed (I have them on the spare beds for visitors as until recently the heating in those rooms wasn't great, but radiators have now been upgraded - however, depending on electricity pricing, electric blankets may be the preferred option!).
Outside is bright, but there's a cold wind. However, there is a clematis and bulbs to plant at the front, and onions/shallots/garlic to plant in the veg plot, so those need to be done during daylight. And the dog should probably get a second walk before dark.
Muntjac needs freezing as there's another one to collect tomorrow and no space in the fridge...3 -
Stinky and I have planted a clematis and muscari, and moved two barrow-loads of logs. He didn't think this was an acceptable alternative to a walk
Next job (after coffee) will be at least some of the onions, shallots, and garlic going in.2 -
Onions and shallots were planted - beds weeded, mulch/compost dumped on them (there are bags ordered earlier this year to use up), two rows of onions in one bed, two of shallots in the other, and then chicken wire fixed over the top to keep the cats out. Perennial weeds in the bin, other stuff in the compost bin.
The muntjac was done too.
Today I hung my bedroom curtains and moved more furniture back in. My running and pilates kit is now scattered over my bed as I need to be ruthless and cull it. Some of the pilates tops I don't like, and realistically most of the running stuff won't be used as I can't run anymore. However, I did think that the winter running tights and some of the warm/waterproof tops might come in handy for dog walking/gardening!
Had a nice walk at my mum's and came home with yet another muntjac (need to deal with it tonight really) and a bag of comfrey plants from her neighbour which need planting this week.
I have a quote for the paving round the summerhouse and putting up some trellis - more than I was hoping, but materials are expensive and it'll be several days' work so actually it probably isn't unreasonable. It'll be good to get it done - it just feels as if there's lots of money going out at the moment! I haven't had the invoice for the carpet yet, and there will be more bills from the plumber (if he actually comes and does the work), electrician (only a small one hopefully), carpet fitter (lift carpet, replace underlay, relay carpet) and decorator. Plus I haven't had the builders' bill yet as they have other bits to do. However, it will be a LOT of work completed.
I've also realised that I probably need building control involved in blocking up the garage doors as new footings are going in. In which case I will need drawings. So need to talk to the builders about that.2
