Thanks @Baileys_Babe - the shed is shelved, so it's just a case of making sure nothing interesting is on view. TBH I'm not sure there is anything interesting in there. No tarp anyway. I'm also trying to do things that will actually benefit me in the long term too, rather than making more work!

Yes, priorities and logic are reasonably well worked out! Just getting myself off the sofa is the difficult bit!

A long list, but Open Gardens has clearly given you a big push to do the garden.   I hope you the really enjoy the day after all your hard work.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    • Pay gardener
    • Call blind company (replacement for blind that was 5mm too small is EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE as the one that didn't fit)   They're refunding me, and trying to find out how it happened
    • Check spare bedrooms and bathrooms are fit for visitors (refill bath cleaner in main bathroom) and that they have towels  had to clean the bath in the main bathroom!
    • Clear dining table and work out what needs doing with stuff on it
    • Take down fly screen on garden room doors and put up longer replacement screen why would anyone fix something permanent (battens for blinds) over something temporary (fly screen)? Luckily I managed to get it out... but on unpacking the replacement remembered that they stink and need washing first, so it's next in the queue for the WM. When the correct fittings arrive for the blinds I'm also going to have to swap them round as they've been put up with the controls at the wrong end... which means there's a gap at the wall side and too much overlap on the doorframe side. I couldn't face mentioning it last time.
    • Put up garden room fly screen on kitchen doors, and put up thermal curtains that were taken down for the summer turns out the garden room fly screen is also slightly too short for the kitchen doors, so i suspect the new one will be too long. I'll leave the too-short one on the kitchen doors for now and if the dog destroys it (again) get a correctly-sized one for the garden room and keep using the rejects for the kitchen until the dog stops twirling round as he goes through the door. Need to find a tiny allen key to get the curtains up (stupid eyelet things).
    • Check whether pressure-mounted curtain pole no longer used for kitchen doors will fit one of the kitchen windows and if so find something to hang on it (old muslin curtains/dust sheet/sheet/spare fabric) Have got the muslin curtains/fabric out, but am also wondering about cutting up the non-fitting blinds and using spare velcro from the fly screens to fix them on.
    • Build final obelisk
    • Cut long grass in veg plot
    • Trim and stack coppiced hazel
    • Mow veg plot if it dried out enough
    • Move incinerator and tidy compost area
    • Tidy odds and ends in greenhouse and put anything portable into small shed
    • Tidy small shed so nothing interesting is visible through the window
    • Clean windows on big shed
    • Move mower into garage
    • Tidy big shed (mostly full of cardboard)
    • Clear sticks and bits of bone from grass (and check for dog poo)
    • Mulch left-hand border
    • Water small stuff in greenhouse
    • Top up greenhouse pots with decent compost
    • Ericaceous feed
    • Shrub feeding
    • Tomato feeding
    • Swap round some fencing pins and lantern holders (currently marking planned new borders, but swapping them so they match will look nicer)
    • Weed worst bits of drive
    • Move succulent pot from outside front door to back door
    • Move bits of granite from outside porch to behind shed with the rest
    • prune dead bit of front hedge
    • Remove any marigolds that didn't like being moved
    • Pick cavolo nero, spinach, strawberries
    • Sow spinach (? check for space in cavolo nero bed)
    • Sow more peas (in new raised bed - put hazel supports in)
Robot is vacuuming one spare room, the other is charging in the other spare room.
I've also taken apart the shark as I remembered that I need to clear out the anti-hairwrap thing. I must remember to ask my cleaner to do this in future when she empties the dust holder. Clearly this was essential activity.
    DW is on
Laundry has been sorted and one load is in (must get the heated airer out)

Also moved some stuff that was lying around in the veg plot and shoved it in the shed.

New flyscreen has just been washed, so I'll stick it outside to dry off a bit (hopefully!) while I do a few other bits.

Have also done some laundry, moved the pile of wood from the drive, moved the can of blackjack to outside the workshop (so I can put it away), fed the animals, put some dog toys in to soak, hung up two loads of laundry and am now having lunch.

I also lifted a drain cover and the septic tank cover. All working as it should, so the smell is still a mystery. It's clealy not venting properly so at some point I need to scrape the turf away from around it and see whether a vent has been blocked.

It's raining again, so once I've eaten it'll probably be back to doing indoor stuff, although I think I might need some help with screening the windows. A bit more sunshine would be nice as I have stinky dog bedding and towels to wash and they'll need to go in the TD.

Inspired by @redofromstart's unsupervised drill use, I found the hex drill bits for my cordless screwdriver (which miraculously had some charge), cut a bit of curtain wire in half, stuck hooks in the cut ends, and put up eyes either side of the front door. I then cut a long piece of muslin down the middle (roughly, I used an existing fold as it didn't need to be precise) and have pulled each length up and over the wire to make a temporary screen so no one can see into the hall!
