Gosh yes I missed your post Bossy, that made me so angry. I am sure that with you fighting her corner she wont let it bother her but still.
DS once said he would like to go to the gym but would feel really self conscious because he is too skinny!
Feet up - at 7.30pm - get me! Wont be a late night I dont think.0 -
Evening everyone
It has been slowly getting colder here all week and this afternoon I gave in and dug out a thin thermal vest - winter has arrived in our house. It's now 9 degrees and absolutely tipping down with rain.
Sorry to read that Bossy - children can be soo cruel. I remember when DS had a problem because he had ginger hair, but didn't want me to do anything about it.
Well done on the sewing job HB. I know exactly what you mean - especially when you want to find something particular/quickly. When I started my de-clutter earlier in the year I bought a box of labels on a roll and, as I checked and re-bagged 'stuff', I stuck a label on each one. Soo much better.

Morning all
This week is flying by, can't believe I haven't managed my usual morning posts! Its wet underfoot this morning and very blustery but we are promised a sunny day, let's wait and see.
V proud of myself as managed a no spend week so far :money: and being taken out for lunch tomorrow as I may just be turning another year older  so that will be nice.
Need to do loads of batch cooking today, I also sorted my kitchen cupboards out yesterday and have a huge pile for the charity shop but it's all heavy stuff and I'm trying not to use the car much and walk instead so will take it in dribs and drabs.
Bossy - I went into lioness mode on your behalf. Hope DD is ok.
YL - so chuffed you're feeling a bit brighter, long may it continue xxMFW

Morning.
Exciting news Lynne!
Tipping it down here, and soooo dark. DD packed off in the pouring rain to catch the bus as I can't take her to school and get back to Job 2 in time. Well I can just, but once a week on the bus isn't too much hardship for her, except when the weather is so dismal.
DW emptied, QHI done, WM loaded for when I get home. DH seemed to find shoving a bit of ham between 2 slices of bread beyond him this morning, so I did his lunch before he left. If he thinks he is sneaking to the canteen to get chips, he has another think coming.:rotfl:
YL - I remember the days of going out on site with high heels and smart suit too! And freezing because I couldn't get a jumper under the suit jacket. Although we weren't prevented from wearing trousers, thank goodness!
My word, but it is pelting down. And blowing a gale. Stay warm and cosy everyone!0 -
Morning,
Quick check in before I whizz off to college.
Have tidied kitchen, swept piggy cage and remembered my books!
Will be lighting a candle for the lovely Cycling Yorkie this evening xxxBossymoo

I've been what I call 'un-shopping'
2 very heavy bags of donations dropped off at the CS, book returned to the library and various bits and pieces donated to pre-school. It's lovely to return home much lighter than when you left :T
Both kids wardrobes have been completely gutted and only stuff that fits remains. I have re-jiggled the airing cupboard and cleared out the medicine shelf in the kitchen. Flingety fling!MFW

Oh, revenge can be sweet.
Was fixing an instrument today (as is my job) and nicked my finger when the fresh Stanley Blade slipped. The person who told me I can't have STCs or work trousers made a sarcastic joke about how those boots I'm so keen on wouldn't have saved me.
I smiled sweetly and replied yes, it's just as well I only cut my finger, as had I dropped the damn thing, it would have embedded itself in my thigh or foot by about an inch.
She scuttled off pretty sharpish.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
