ODonnell boy, poor you. Yes I think you should set up a support group. My husband could join it (if his ramaging pneumonia doesn't kill him). He didn't seem to appreciate my advice to either get over it or die quietly before I kill him!!!!!

Oh your poor husband, don't you realise how serious this is you bigot? :rotfl:

He takes anti-depressants every night (except when I'm working late and I'm not home to remind him - and he thinks he can get away with it!!) but he doesn't take anti-psychotic drugs any more because they turn him into a vegetable and he hates it. He's schizophrenic so the paranoia is something I've got used to!

I'm about to write him a very gentle email explaining everything and how it really won't affect him at all and he can buy whatever snacks/treats he likes as long as he's able to cover the shopping bill still, and the rest of his money is his to do with as he likes, just pleeeeeeease let me do the overtime I need to make our future more comfortable. Luckily the financial plan I've worked out is completely manageable on my own, as long as he's is still working. What I DON'T need is him getting in a panic and giving up his job!

  • Goodness, that must be so difficult for both of you. Having suffered from depression in the not so distance past, I know that money worries can make things a whole lot worse!

    Good luck with the email.

I had a phonecall from the co-op bank today saying that my cashminder account is now open so I can stop thinking about where my wages are going to be paid into. Didn't get as much post as I expected after the postal strike. Got a new nectar card to replace my old one, don't know why, as far as I know my old card still works fine.

Still waiting for my forms from the OR, thought they would arrived in the first batch of back logged mail.

Joe Hel... sounds like you have got a kid gloves situtation going on there. With his £500 why don't you ask him to take over just one of the DD's too... even if it was just a small one that he gets benefit from.. that's what i dod with my OH. He didn't have health issues, just money ones (!), but i told him that i wasn't going to be able to pay the SKy anymore, so unless he took it on it was going to be a sacrifice.... He pays it

    small steps n all that?

Ok does anyone know if you can suffer from Chocolate withdrawal?

I've had a headache for 2 days and I've stopped eating chocolate! Could there be a link?

He pays it now without question.... a moral victory for me, not to mention i can take or leave the TV.

It'll help you out a little, and realistically he has a lot of disposable income doesn't he? Plus it will empower him a bit and make him aware of his responsibilties a bit.

More likely the chemicals in the chocolate have caused the headaches.
