Ok so hopfully UKPC will trip themselves up at POPLA they are basically useless muppets that make mistakes with their greed, and their incentivised profit centres, sorry attendents aren't the brightest sparks either.0 -

That's good.
Will be useful in your appeal, and subsequently if necessary.0 -
UPDATE
Hi all, just to update on this.
I appealed the PCN on day 25 using the standard template with an additional line saying that payment was made for the full day via RingGo.
I have now received a response from UKPC on day 38 since my appeal (dated as day 35). They have requested evidence showing the start time and end time of the RingGo payment. They have asked for this within 14 days. No POPLA code was included.
There is a generic paragraph about POFA but I am pretty sure this letter does not qualify as a NTK (and it would be too late anyway.)
I am minded to just ignore this letter and wait for the POPLA code to take it further. I assume this is the right thing to do?0 -
Or send the documents as requested, suitably anonymous. Then they can’t complain0

Hiya
I was just wondering how you got on with this?
I am in a similar situation with the same carpark. I tried to pay for parking using Ringo but had problems with signal making the call whilst on the train (can evidence phonecalls from the same day prior to the parking charge notice being issued). I eventually was able to download the app and made payment for the full day around 6 minutes after the parking notice was issued.
Would be helpful to know whether you've had any luck and whether I should fight this.0 -
You need to read the NEWBIES thread, not post here. See my signature below. Two clicks.
And if that's your real name, ask MSE to change your username, before you post again.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi everyone,
Firstly, thank you to all the above posters who helped me with this. I have good news. Just received a grovelling apology letter from UKPC cancelling the charge.
I first (on day 25) sent the standard appeal from the newbies thread but added that I had paid in full on the day. No admission as to who was driving (it wasn't me anyway).
They replied on day 60 with lots of standard stuff about how they obey all rules, laws etc. and also asked for evidence that payment had been made.
I replied with the following which did the trick and got the PCN cancelled before getting to the POPLA appeal!!
Dear Sirs
Re: PCN No. XXXXXX
I respond to this 'PCN' and your letter dated *DATE* which I received on *DATE* as keeper of the car.
Payment of the tariff was made for the vehicle in question on the day for a full days parking using the RingGo app. As requested I have attached a screenshot from the Ringo App showing this.
Points to note:
• Payment was made after the vehicle entered the car park and well before the vehicle left the car park.
• No signs in the car park state when payment has to be made.
• Due to technical problems the driver had setting up RingGo I paid using my account on behalf of the driver.
• Due to technical deficiencies of the RingGo app it is impossible to set the start time to be any earlier that the time you make the payment.
I firmly disagree that your signs comply with the BPA code of practice. I believe that your signs fail the test of 'large lettering' and prominence, as established in ParkingEye Ltd v Beavis. Your unremarkable and obscure signs were not seen by the driver, are in very small print and the terms are not readable to drivers.
I was an occupant of the vehicle at the time of the incident along with several other people. There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. You must either rely on the POFA 2012 and offer me a POPLA code, or cancel the charge.
Yours faithfully,

Well done you .....
Hope you stick around and help others
UKPC must have realised their claim was the usual rubbish
Why don't you invoice them for your time wasted0
