Well the month started off with great promise. Two weeks in I was up about 6.5% and then back to following Arne Saknussemm.

Framlington Global Technology surprisingly robust. Smithson seems to have its own eye watering gravity.

Another big drop for Chrysalis, down 32%. That makes it -71% YTD with the upside being its now less than 1% of the whole portfolio so has little impact.

The dollar to pound exchange rate is 1.16, which is a little ridiculous.

    Thank you Liz...

The dollar value of my original 50% US equity, 25% non US equity, and 25% US bonds keeps falling, but to put it in perspective the $24k gain over that last 5 years is a 4.5% annually compounded gain, so things could be worse...Looking at it in pounds, through the lens of the exchange rate, it looks a lot better and the 48k gain is 8% annual return.

It’s our 5 year anniversary, thanks for keeping up with the posts.

For me the last 5 years up until 2022 have been all beer and skittles apart from the initial covid dip in 2020 that recovered quite quickly.  2022 however appears to be the start of interesting times.......

I’ve changed the makeup of TBC15 over the last 5 years. For my info I’ve tracked the previous incarnations of TBC15. In every case over the years my modifications have resulted in a reduction of performance. I think I may be cursed with the Maxwell touch. For info my original TBC portfolio would be at £163,058.

Digger UK’s investment returns have me eying the wife’s jewellery.
