Granny has gone off the grid. It happened shortly after gold reached its all time high......and then crashed back down a hundred pounds. As the pound is now getting $1.34, we suspect she is at a Trump rally trying to get a selfie whilst enjoying the decent exchange rate.
At home we find the leaders on the gold dealers to avoid board is still Bullion By Post with a 9% premium to buy from and a 4% commission to sell to.HGM, Atkinsons and Elm are 3-4% to buy and 1-3% commission if you sell. Elm get the gold medal, Atkinsons silver and MSE's favourite, HGM, get bronze..._0 -
Prism Global - £144,875 which is a gain of 3.8%
A good month for microcaps and private equity but not enough to compensate for lower than average returns for my small and mid cap funds. I have certainly missed not having any exposure to Apple and Amazon this year.0 -
Finellah 30.2%
FinellaVLS80 18.3%
Vanguard Global FTSE All Cap 25.9%
Still need to update portfolio page - quite a few changes since last update.

Thrugelmir said:The (often much lauded) VWRL fund is up in sterling terms by 18.5%.That seems surprising for the return of that product to be sub 20% if Finella is telling us in the post above that FTSE Global All Cap is about 26%. Perhaps you are just looking at the share price and not the total return including dividends?DireEmblem said:
VWRP is up similar..Thrugelmir said:The (often much lauded) VWRL fund is up in sterling terms by 18.5%.One would hope so 😆Although I thought that accumulating share class only launched last year and so couldn't have been invested in at the inception of the exercise at 29/9/20170 -
Seems surprising that there is such a difference between VWRL and the Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap fund. Don't have time to check at the moment but is that including dividends? Were you using 29/09/17 to 28/08/20 date range?Thrugelmir said:The (often much lauded) VWRL fund is up in sterling terms by 18.5%.

Maybe Thrugelmir did an additional currency conversion?
Also, Don't Let Your Granny Loose at the Dogs has had a storming recovery over the last few months with its new look holdings.0
