New Car Issues

Tried the FO? Might have to complain to your finance and give them 8 weeks. What about a deposit, on credit card? Have you tried the manufacture? Log a complaint with them?
You could send them a LBA to send a rocket up them, you'd need to google for the template.
Thank you not tried the FO yet, its been a bit quick. Deposit was part cash part CC and part EX.
I will be copying in the Dealer/Manufacturer to my next reply. My friends have suggested I use my house insurance to get legal advice too any thoughts on this?
Sorry what is LBA?0 -

LBA Letter Before Action.
If you used your credit card, give them a call, they MIGHT be jointly liable.
Do you have motor legal cover? Otherwise, yes house insurance could help.
It always helps to know your rights before approaching third parties the first time. So, maybe get some legal advice and then you can assert those rights in the correct way.
There is a letter template somewhere on rejecting a car.0 -

Perfect thank you for your help, time to get googling and checking my insurance policies.0 -
Its the whole seats and seat belts that the company are refusing to say are a fault as well really. They said they are within design parameters, which doesnt happen on my mums 7k KIA and my 15 year old Q7.
Just interested, sounds a bit odd . .0 -
If there is an owner's group on the net for your car, it may be worth looking at to see if these problems have been experienced by other ownersIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Wouldn't the sum exceed the upper limit of a a section 75 claim?0 -
Whilst not suggesting that £75k cars don't have problems have you genuinely got to a situation where rejection is the only answer for you ?
Are your expectations unreasonable ? Have relations broken down with the dealer ?
Even with my 2nd hand premium brand at a fifth of your cost my issues get sorted at my local dealer with pragmatism on both sides - understanding which battles to fight and which things are niggles/character
Without something fundamentally wrong with the car I'm struggling to see your grounds for rejection0 -
The problem is there are lots of issues with the car not one big issue for it not to drive etc. But seats and seat belts are core components of the car. Some seats move when driving. The seat belts don't retract properly sometimes when plugging in, basically not securing you in properly, this is on the rear seats where my children sit. This is apparently "within designed parameters" but not really willing to risk my children's life over a car.
Seat quality is terrible
The car knocks when reversing.
Other things like door seals leaking and rain getting in.
There is a big long list maybe I'm being picky but for the money I am paying I should be able to be.
I haven't spent this much on a car ever and I never plan to again total just because of the hassle it has caused. I've been trying to get these all fixed since 3 days of ownership but the wait on parts to replace some of these is terrible.
My other new cars I have never had issues with but they were leases and a lot less money.0 -
