DH has started doing a bit more to the shed now
. He's screwing the batons on for the shelf. So although it won't be finished today, at least a bit more progress is being made. It's not because I said anything, I was very restrained (probably why we've been married for over 30 years) so he was obviously planning to do a bit more on it anyway
.

Hope DH finishes building the shed tomorrow. Plant wise one year we bought some nasturtiums and they were eaten by a million caterpillars, won't bother again, I've never seen so many caterpillars in one place  Whatever soil we have in our garden is obviously the best soil for buttercups as we are overrun with them every summer. We're currently awash with bluebells but not complaining they look beautifulI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I love bluebells
. Our garden is very popular with dandelions so it's lucky the furry moron likes them :rotfl:.

We had 2 tool sheds to replace a 8x6shed a couple of years ago. Best thing we ever did was pay to have them erected - can’t remember how much we paid extra but it wasn’t too crazy. They’d put 2 sheds up and had a cuppa in less than an hour - I was gobsmacked dh would have still been sorted which screw went where :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you get shed sorted tomorrow :beer:January spends - £587.580 -

I must confess Milann that I'm beginning to wish we'd paid someone to assemble the tool store. Then it would have been done very quickly and saved DH having to do it (and me much frustration). The trouble is we're not used to having any money and so it didn't seem like a viable option at the time.
I hope you have a good bank holiday.

Maybe you should allocate half the estimated cost of assembly to a treat budget as a thank you for dh’s work. Possibly a takeaway to be enjoyed by the family?Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Yes perhaps INOD. But not until it's finished :rotfl:.

Happy bank holiday everyone
.
This morning I've gone through a mini wooden chest of drawers in our bedroom and thrown away loads of ancient receipts. Now I've got room to put the bits and bobs (which included pain killers and my Fitbit charger) that were sittiing in front of my books on the shelf next to my bed. It looks a lot tidier now and it'll be easier to dust. I had some tubes of hand cream sitting on the bookshelf too, so I've put those in my spongebag. While I was going though the spongebag I found a lipstick and three small No 7 eyeshadows. As I never wear lipstick or eyeshadow I put those in the charity bag.
I've also moved a box of sentimental items (letters, photos, cards, etc) from the Christmas decoration void to the large main void so it will be easier to get to and put things in it. I still feel like we've got far too much stuffbut at least it's organised and protected now. I wish I could be more ruthless and get rid of more stuff, but a lot of it isn't mine so I feel I can't make that decision.
I do think that de-cluttering can be quite demoralising at times as it's tiring and you never seem to finish it. No matter how much I do there always seems more that needs sorting. Still if I keep chipping away at it then perhaps one day I'll finish it.
A new load of laundry is also washing in the machine now and as it's sunny again it should dry nicely in the garden.
I'm not sure what to do now so I'm having a rest with a cup of tea. I should probably dust and hoover our bedroom and change the bedding. Although the wall around our courtyard garden needs weeding so I could do that instead. Decisions, decisions.
I can't tidy or hoove the living room as DH is watching Game of Thrones surrounded by bits of shed and tools! Who knows if any tool shed construction will take place today. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I’m pretty sure that if you drag the hoover into the living room and start tidying around him DH might decide there’s a better place to deal with the shed. Like inside the bit he’s done...0 -
