Good luck with the tax return.
Enjoy the Pilates tonight xx0 -
My experience of the tax refund was that the money arrived before the paperwork, and it was only a few days. Couple of years ago though, now I usually have to pay them.
The PPI does sound hopeful given your SE status.
I couldn't wait to buy myself Levi's once I left home, and still gravitate towards them for preference now. I paid £25 a pair for some in the sales, which compared well to my M&S ones price wise.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Thanks Redo. It would be lovely if the rebate arrived soon. The accountants reckon it normally takes about five days so I'm hoping it might arrive by Friday :j.
The trouble is I'm not 100% certain we had PPI on some CCs. We definitely had it on one CC and can prove it. I'm fairly sure we had it on a couple of others but can't prove it.
I feel fairly sure we were missold packaged bank accounts on the grounds that we would then have an overdraft facility, but can we prove it.
Anyway we can but try. I wonder when today's claims will get a response...Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

The last garment I dyed, not tie-dying exactly but just regular dying to revitalise a favourite but much-worn white top that I couldn't get white any more, was an unexpected success. Like yours, the embroidery on it was white-on-white but polyester rather than cotton. The final effect was gorgeous, far better than I'd expected as I'd imagined the whole garment would come out all the same shade. Plenty more life left in that top now:j
Hi twinnie, that sounds just like my experience but I got both results with having two tops. I love them both, but the one with white embroidery does look amazingso much better than i thought it might

Seconded!
I had what my mum called a siren suit in the early 80s. Dusky pink, very 80s shade. Big square patch pockets and not as wide as CBC describes but not skin tight. Well not then anyway I wouldn't bank on getting it above my knees now (yes I've still got it in a suitcase in the attic:o)22: 3🏅 4⭐ 23: 5🏅 6 ⭐ 24 1🏅 2⭐ 25 🏅 🥈⭐ Never save something for a special occasion. It sounds like it was fairly straightforward claiming the 5 today so hope you get thru the 7 or so others tomorrow. Even though you are not hopeful you may look back on these two half days of work as your most profitable hourly rate later in the year !! :T:T
Hope tax is thru soon too, it's awful waiting on payments like that, time seems to slow down

I lost my Resolver claim against B4clays for a packaged bank account - they sold it to me as the only way I could keep my interest free student overdraft, which was expiring at the time. I considered this to be mis selling because I was not talked through any other options. The other benefits to the account, like breakdown cover and mobile phone insurance, I never used. I think I eventually activated one (probably the mobile phone insurance), but never claimed. However, they didn't rule in my favour. I can't remember the specifics as the case is now closed but I think it was along the lines of I benefited from the account by activating the insurance. I couldn't be bothered appealing it. Decided to be philosophical and think of it as my financial comeuppance for being such a terrible money manager
Good luck with it all - its most certainly worth the effort of putting in all the claims! Fingers crossed.0 -
Can I just mention here, when people I know are going to fancy dress parties, they often come to me. But its my normal clothes they are wearing :rotfl::T:rotfl:
I admire you CBC for looking respectful at work when that wasnt your natural 'look'. I had a few jobs in the cs where they imposed dress codes after years of us wearing jeans t shirts etc. I took perverse pleasure in looking as disreputeable as poss within the rules of what we were to wear then on the odd dress down day I would look as nice as poss in jeans, shirt, boots, waistcoat etc just to make my point that its not the item that makes us 1)look smart and more importantly 2)good at what they are actually paying us to do. I really resented having to spend my wages on clothes I would normally never be seen dead in. Each to their own, I'm just not a smart person. In the same outfit as anyone else I always just look a sight :rotfl::rotfl: same as Mr daisy. He either looks like a wee boy in his dad's suit or like hes been pulled through a hedge backwards. Same clothes, different effect depending on body shape I think.

I had siren suits too although I didn't know they were called that. I thought they were just a more modern slant on the catsuit:rotfl:
Before anyone gets a totally wrong impression of my catsuits:rotfl: I need to tell you that they weren't Elvis-style jewel-encrusted ones or Abba stage style ones either:eek:. I always loved all-in-one garments but surprisingly have never owned or would want to own a onesie:rotfl:0
