Not a snowballs chance in hell Beanie :rotfl:. The DC would rather eat sandwiches I think and DH would rather focus on earning money. Never mind, it has to be done and I'm used to doing it.

It's always so sad when someone we communicated regularly with on MSE and came to see as a friend suddenly 'disappears':(. It happened to me last year, a lovely person who was always there for everyone. I'm quite worried that something awful befell her as she was a regular on other threads too and hasn't logged in to any of them or used her MSE account at all. The last time she posted she was excitedly looking forward to her imminent departure to live in Spain with her DH. I know several Spanish residents who post on here. It's hardly the moon is it?
  • Not a snowballs chance in hell Beanie :rotfl:. The DC would rather eat sandwiches I think and DH would rather focus on earning money. Never mind, it has to be done and I'm used to doing it.

At least your DH is working hard for his family and cooks on Saturdays to give you a rest:j. I'd rather eat sandwiches myself than trust OH to cook anything:rotfl:. He can just about manage a Cup-A-Soup (which he buys for himself as 'treats') and toast if ever left to his own devices. Even then the kitchen ends up full of black smoke. Beats me how someone can't master a toaster:rotfl:

  • It will be nice for you when you can get your kitchen done and have a proper cooker again :).

It's probably the element that's gone on the oven as it's happened twice before. But we can't afford the part and DH can't afford the time to investigate it as he's busy trying to bring in money, so it will have to wait for the time being.

I don't think we'll ever get our kitchen done:(. As you know, OH doesn't like spending any money. He hardly spends any time in the kitchen, just passes through it or makes the occasional cup of tea or coffee. I don't think he ever looks round and sees the state it's in. While ever he's getting a good meal every evening I don't think he has a clue what a pain it is sometimes to prepare it. It just 'magically appears in front of him:rotfl:. A lot of it's my fault as I love a challenge and being able to cook pretty much the same as we had before but with limited facilities was almost fun at first. Now the novelty's worn off big time and I've come to dread making our evening meals 7 days a week:o
  • When I've recovered from the food shop I'll hunt through the filing cabinet for more statements.

I'm not convinced that we'll get anything back now, as the Plevin rule may not apply to us and we may have taken out all the PPI before DH was self employed,so it may not have been missold :(. Knowing our luck we'll get nothing :( but I won't know if I don't try I suppose.

Please don't get discouraged, HH:kisses3:. You've come so far with this already. Give it a try, what do you have to lose? You might be very pleasantly surprised by what comes of it:T

Who was it on here said 'Who dares Wins'?. It's often very true!

Would it be possible to say exactly that to him ?
