One of my favourites is Chase The Ace, and we play Wot sometimes which is a very old game. I'm terrible at remembering the rules, so I always have to be reminded if we haven't played it recently. :rotfl:.
There are so may different games. aren't there? I don't remember either of those you mentioned. We used to play a game called Newmarket a lot. Wouldn't know where to start now, I've totally forgotten how to play it0 -

Does anyone remember Beetle Drives? they were 'big' when I was a young teenager. I've forgotten exactly how to play but there was a whole roomful of people playing, adults as well as teenagers, in a church hall where my friend's dad was the vicar. It wasn't a card game though. It involved rolling a dice and drawing parts of a beetle on paper. I kid you not! Simple pleasures, eh?:rotfl:0 -

I've heard of beetle drives but I didn't know what they were. I've heard of Newmarket so I've probably played it at some point.
What I like about cards is that they are cheap, portable and provide hours of entertainment for several people. And if you're on your own you can play Patience.
They don't increase your electricity bill either.

My smalls love playing cards! and dominoes!
We always take them away with us when we go on holiday. It provides hours of free entertainment especially in the evenings.
