I was very upset, quite hurt actually, to get the sack as I'd done it for years and never did a single thing to give them cause to question my efficiency and honesty. In fact, as well as the payment stamps and vouchers, I've received several 'thank you' gifts from them over the years (that I know weren't just the standard extra goodies like diaries and commemorative sets of stamps that they gave out to everyone).
I even applied in OH's name after the dust settled (we're not married and have different surnames) fully intending to do the surveys in his name as he wasn't interested in doing them and he said I could. They didn't accept (him) me and said his address was registered with them as being 'known' to RM as being involved with the survey panel and would skew the integrity of the results:mad:.
It does seem a shame. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've just finished cleaning DS3's room! Two hours of hard graft . I had to clean the floor, walls and skirting boards in one corner under his desk and chair, plus clean five shelves with dozens of childhood ornaments, etc, which were covered in dust . It didn't help that as I was cleaning a glass bottle full of yellow sand, I discovered it was leaking and yellow sand got everywhere . So I threw it away and had to clean his desk and everything on it again .
I feel shattered now but glad it's finally finished :T. I'm rewarding myself with a sit down and a diet coke.
This afternoon DS2 wants DH to give him a lift to the shops, so I'm going to go too, get his keep from him and buy DS3 a new pillow. I also need to buy two birthday cards that I forgot to get yesterday and a small and very cheap present for a childhood friend of mine who always posts me a present.
If DS2 doesn't wake up in time DS1 has given me his debit card so I can draw out his keep money and buy the things I need with that money.
It will be nice to get outside, but first I need to recover from cleaning DS3's room! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Yellow sand! I hope DS3 appreciates his the hard work you've put in on his room when he arrives! Perhaps you can get him to de-clutter a few of the ornaments!

He probably won't even notice :rotfl: but I feel better that he has a clean room to come home to.
Now he can actually SEE his ornaments without the coating of dust, maybe he'll be inspired to de-clutter some! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
