Debt in July 2017 = £58,766 😱 DEBT FREE 31 OCTOBER 2017 :T 🎉
EMERGENCY FUND 1 = £50/£5,000. EMERGENCY FUND 2 = £10/£5,000.
CHRISTMAS SAVINGS = £0/£500. SEF = £1,400/£12,000 PREMIUM BONDS ME = £350. PREMIUM BONDS DH = £300.

I decided not to wait for DS2 to emerge and got the bus to the shops. I drew out DS1's keep of £40 from his account to pay for my shopping.
I spent £10 on my phone top up. Then I found two nice birthday cards in the charity shop for 99p each. When I took them to the till they were half price :money:.
Then I was looking for a present for my childhood friend. I rejected tons of things because they were too expensive or wouldn't fit through the letter box. Then in a charity shop I saw two scented sachets for drawers reduced from £1.25 to 89p each. When I got to the till one of them was further reduced to 49p. So my friend's present cost £1.35 :money:. If I wrap them carefully they should fit through the letter box as a large letter, so will cost under a pound to post hopefully.
Then I bought two first class stamps for the birthday cards (birthdays are this weekend). I rewarded myself with a coffee after that.
Finally I looked at pillows for DS3. The cheapest in the department store was £16 :eek: so we'll have to get one elsewhere. I was thinking more of £6 :rotfl:.
Total spends:
£2.40 Bus
89p Two birthday cards
£1.38 Friend's present
£1.35 Two stamps
£2.65 Coffee
£10 Phone top up
TOTAL = £18.67
That sounds like quite a lot of money but over half of it was the phone top up which will last a month. Quite an MSE shopping trip I thought and I feel much more cheerful for having been out of the house.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
