Sorry to hear about the Fitbit. Let's hope you can get it fixed cheaply or even for free.

The only technological device I own is a cheap and cheerful laptop. Can't afford a tablet or Fitbit or smartphone. I have a basic PAYG mobile just for emergencies but it only does phonecalls and texts. Maybe when I'm debt free I might upgrade but to be honest I'm not bothered if I never own these things. There's better things to spend my money on.

Well done to DH for being able to resuscitate your laptop:beer:. I bet it's a load off your mind. From what you told us when it first died on you I thought it had totally 'had it'. I fixed quite a lot of minor things on my previous one through watching YouTube videos:j. OH is a total technophobe so it's a waste of time asking him for help:(. YouTube is my 'go to' resource for how-to instructions, not just for technology items. I must have saved a small fortune over the years by doing things myself.
  • I'm backed some important stuff onto a portable drive (family photos etc) in case my pc fix is only temporary. Now I'm running security scans before I print off the invoices.

I've had a couple of OP and PA surveys which is good :).

It's cold today but at least the sun is shining.

It is a massive relief :T. DH is quite good at fixing things, you have to be when you're self employed as we can't afford to pay for tech services. I thought it had had it too.

You can learn a lot of useful stuff on YouTube, DH uses that sometimes :).

I'm feeling really fed up this morning as I've phoned 2 creditors to chase up their responses to my F&F offers. Wish I hadn't now, I had to really gee myself up to do it and ended up feeling quite tearful:o. I was so hopeful about getting these debts paid off by the end of the year. Really bad news on one and will have to wait up to another week for the other one as my I&E and offer are still in the queue to be dealt with:mad:. I won't be holding my breath that they accept or even make an acceptable counter offer either.

Might be back later but don't want to clog up your diary:o
  • Thanks OBL :).

But finally one piece of good news, DH has managed to fix my pc this morning :T. Isn't he clever? He opened it up and fiddled with the innards and now it's working :T. Massive massive relief. Now I can spend all day printing out stuff for the accountants. .

    Wonderful !
    :T:T:T:T
