Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I went to bed early as felt a bit meh last night. I didn't even clean out the furry moron which isn't like me. I slept okay but still feel tired. I don't know if I'm catching another lurgy or whether it's stress. Anyway I'd better muck out the cage this morning as it stinks to high heaven.
DH is working on my business this morning (he told me to rest). This afternoon we're meant to be going for a walk but stepdad had a bad night
so will let me know later if he's up to coming. He's definitely coming for dinner though.
Have a good Sunday everyone. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hope stepdad is ok later for dinner . Why don't you cut your present list down to just yourselves and stepdad and explain things are a bit tight . I know easier said than done.
Will your business be ready to go in the New Year ? i
What is your ideal Xmas gift, mine is a book, bubble bath , slippers and Maltesers !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Cumbria
. I think my ideal present would be a book, a Penguin mug and a Penguin tote bag
. The Penguin stuff is a bit pricey but I love it.
My business will take at least a year to build up before there's any chance it will make money, but we're only working on it on Sundays. I can't afford to have all my eggs in one basket so I still want a job and the business could be run on weekends. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

That's a good idea to cover all bases. I know a huge bottle of radox has been on offer in superdrug for 90p. Most people I know would really appreciate that (i deffo would). xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -

I am also easily pleased: shower gel, bath foam, chocolate, earrings from Thailand via eBay (astoundingly cheap!!), books - any of these & I'm delighted.
Unfortunately, HH, stress is notorious not just for making you feel unwell, but also lowering your immunity. Thank goodness you got the flu vaccine. Let's hope the postman is kind this week.
DD2 and DGS round yesterday - we made cookies ! He is getting really good at mixing, and knows where everything is in the kitchen - in fact, he knows more than DH !!
I saw the Pain clinic doctor on Wed - apparently I got dropped off the system, which is why I've been waiting for treatment since May 2017 ! And now my treatment is one of those on the 'banned' list since June this year - the doctor is more committed to making people's lives bearable than adhering to NHS rules, but at any moment he may be completely scuppered.0
