It sounds as though you two are doing your utmost to sort out your situation but the internet gremlins are playing evil tricks on you. First the company don't get your letter on their system and now the money is in limbo. But you got the first part sorted and this will be sorted too.
I can't imagine how stressful this is for you both. When it is all cleared I think you will feel so different.
