Hi HHD
I hope yesterday was special for you and your family.carbootcrazy wrote: »I thought of you a lot yesterday, HH, and hope the day didn't take too much out of you:kisses3:. I know you'd been dreading it so I hope being with family who were all feeling the significance of the day made it a bit more bearable for all of you.
There will be lots of 'first time' anniversaries to get through this next few months but you're more fortunate than many in having a close and loving family to help sustain you through the worst of it.
Take care of yourself:)Cherryfudge wrote: »I've seen the adverts and of course I can't now remember where, but I found this with several jobs and also this which is about the person spec for supporting a disabled child in school.
Jobs in the community tend to have unsocial hours, perhaps something like helping before and after school, or weekends, but for that reason there's less competition for them. There will also be similar jobs with young adults who need one to one support by reason of a disability.
I googled 'Personal Assistant child with special needs'.
I hope today hasn't been too hard on you... it sounds as though family members have been able to be there for each other.
Thank you all.
That is definitely something I will think about Cherry, thanks for the suggestion. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Yesterday afternoon was definitely made more bearable by going out with my aunt and uncle who are very kind. We saw my niece's new house and she was very hospitable. It is helpful to spend time with people who feel the same way as I do. I slept badly as I couldn't stop thinking about my mum and the sister who died four years ago (her daughter is the niece whose house we were at).
But today is another day and I'm sure volunteering will take my mind off things. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hi Hairy - I've finally caught up with your diary. I'm so sorry that things have been extra tight with money but pleased to read about your OH's new contract which should take some of the worry away
Yesterday must have been so hard for you - I'm glad though that you spent time with some of your family that remembered your mum so well.
I do think you should take EE's advice about NPower and her offer to help. It would be a great load off your mind to sort it out as you have been stressing so much about it.
Have a good day and enjoy your volunteering.

I enjoyed volunteering, I always feel happy when I'm there and the staff were pleased to see me
.
Since then I've put a wash on, cleaned the sink in the bathroom and cleaned the hob.
I also spoke to the doctor who rang me about counselling. The doctor was nice but it's very upsetting talking about it, so I feel a bit fragile now. Anyway the doctor is going to put me on the waiting list for bereavement counselling. She suggested I ring Cruse too in case it's quicker, but I can never seem to get through to them. Anyway I can't face another emotional conversation today so I'll ring them tomorrow.
DH has had a meeting with a potential customer this afternoon and said it went well. Fingers crossed they decide to buy something. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Glad to hear the volunteering went well and you feel the better for it. Good news that you are on the counselling list. Hopefully it won't be too long before you can attend a session and you'll probably feel more like opening up then.
Sending good vibes for the potential customer.
