Thanks for the boiling water trick for weeds. It works well for ant nests too, although you often need to repeat a few times.
Glad you're keeping busy HH and congratulations on achieving your target weight. As your sons are adults can't they contribute with the housework?

    Thanks Verbatim.

You would think grown up sons could contribute to housework, but somehow they don't, sigh. Well they contribute mess, but they don't contribute to cleaning up the mess!

The food shop is done. It was a bit over budget, but I bought two birthday cards towards the million birthdays coming up, plus I got DS3 some extra socks and underwear so he has to go to the laundry less often at uni. It's nice to have fully stocked cupboards, fridge and freezer.

Silly story of the day: DH had the shopping bags and said he'd meet me at the till, but when I tried to message him he was obviously sitting in a dead zone, so rather than buy more bags when we had at least forty with us, I piled everything back in the trolley and then went up to the cafe to nab him. We then had to transfer everything back into the bags, rolls eyes.

There are going to be good things and bad things about DS3 going to uni.

    GOOD THINGS
1- Savings on the food bill
2- Savings on gas and electricity
3- Less mess to clear up
4- Easier to get in the shower

    BAD THINGS
    1- I will miss him
2- We will spend £100 in petrol, plus other miscellaneous costs, every time we visit him

The good things outnumber the bad things, but I will miss him a lot :o.

He wants us to drop him off and then leave straightaway, so we don't embarrass him in front of his flatmates :)
