The thing is if I don't clean up at the weekend I'll be trying to do it in the week, when I'm supposed to be working, the perils of working from home
And with five adults in the house the laundry and mess can build up to catastrophic proportions very quickly
I do feel sometimes that no matter what I do and how hard I work, the house is still a tip. This is partly due to the fact that the carpets need replacing and there are damp patches on the bathroom walls where the outside needs re-rendering and painting
Still if we can get rid of the last two debts then maybe we can save to get some work done on the house
Which reminds me, I need to ring our lovely builder tomorrow and ask him to track down the source of the wet patch on the kitchen ceiling, caused by the shower leaking I suspect
I'm sure your house is much cleaner and tidier than mine SSGFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Happy Monday everyone. It's a damp and misty day in Devon.
Yesterday was a NSD and should be another today. I'm hoping for some surveys today and to steam ahead with self employed work
I'm not expecting to hear from the infuriating creditor until the end of this week, at the earliest, so I'm trying not to think about it
DH's new Noddle credit report was available today and showed him as only owing £16,234 approx to the annoying creditor. A big improvement on the £33,000 he used to owe and the £25,000 that I used to owe I mustn't forget how far we have come since July of this yearFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Yes beanie, I'm so desperate to be completely debt free that it's easy to forget that just three months ago we owed £58,000 between us  :eek:
I do feel much lighter now and actually have hopes and plans for the future for the first time in years. I've gone from hopeless to hopeful in three short months
Today was another NSD day, the second in a row. It helps that DS1 isn't here to drink all the milk He's having a lovely time staying with his friends but we had to pay £50 into his account as he's run out of money
I also did a PA survey and we got through a fair amount of work.
I've just given the furry moron some carrot peelings, waste not want notFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Hi hopeful hairy hand
It's good t see you talking so positively about the future. Sometimes we get so involved in the details, we forget the overall picture.
Now I might be asking something difficult but if you describe your household as 5 adults, why is the cleaning down to you?
Hopefully you won't think me rude but you do seem to be responsible for most things.
Take care

I know it is painful  but DS1 hasn't had a holiday for a few years and he suffers from depression and anxiety, so we want him to have a nice time
He has paid for the rest of the trip himself. He'd better not make a habit of it, that's allFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
