  • I love the portability of my kindle...

I find myself reading the digital version of a book and then buying the REAL book though... which I've been doing with Jo Nesbo...

Hoping to get to see The Snowman either tomorrow night or during this coming week.
YES, I've read the book but I just want to see if they have done it justice on the big screen...

I like Jo Nesbo too US. I picked up a hardback of Police today for £1 :) I think The Snowman is his scariest book so far

If you like scary - have you read Kiss the Girls - I read the book and it preyed on my mind for ages, as for the film, not the same unfortunately :(

I've got a Kindle app on my iPad but much prefer real books.

Baths are my sanity - I have candles, book/magazine, music and at weekends a glass of wine :) Bliss.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • The James Patterson book? I have read that and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the film too :)

Today is the day that we are going to ring DH's final creditor again. Sigh. It is over two weeks since we posted our letter to them, first class and recorded delivery. A week ago today they said they had received the letter but not got it on the system :( I'm hoping that by now it will at least be on the system. Whether they will be in a position to give us an answer, who knows :o

Apart from that, DH has his diabetic eye test first thing and then we have a ton of work to catch up on.

I had a lovely day yesterday spending the day with two of my adult nieces, their partners and my parents. :) DH and DS1 came too. The sun shone and it was lovely to spend time with them. Although it was an expensive day. We met at a craft place for lunch. I chose the cheapest thing on the menu which was soup and bread which cost £6, plus a coffee for £2.80. DH and DS1 had a meal that cost £7 each (second cheapest thing on the menu) plus a drink each. The whole lunch cost £29 for the three of us, which I thought was very expensive   We didn't buy anything in the shops, but I had another drink later on and DH and DS1 had a drink and cake each, which came to £14.90 altogether  Parking was £3. On the way home I was so hungry I felt faint, so I bought a banana and some Flakes for us to share which cost £1.19. So a very expensive day in all ( nearly £50 :() However I do love seeing family :) Just wish it could be done more cheaply :(

  • DH just rang the creditor. Still nothing on the system :( The person he was speaking to said that this seemed odd. So they are going to ring us back. Sigh.
