Today's plan is to go into town and only spend £8 on general stuff including bus fares, and coffee. Then my limit is £8 in Tesco for a top up shop of fruit etc. If I manage to keep to that budget then I can transfer £4 to my savings account
I've also got a rucksack full of books to drop off at the charity shop, part of my seemingly never ending quest to de-clutter the entire house
I tried to shred some old paperwork yesterday but after four sheets the shredder became hopelessly clogged up  and I couldn't unclog it even with tweezers . DH and I have been wondering if a burn barrel would be a better way of getting rid of our paper clutter. Has anyone tried burning paper in one of those?
After that I need to clean out the furry moron (who is running around the living room right now), vacuum the living room and hall, empty all the bins and do some laundry. Then I'm going to put my feet up
It's very dark and gloomy this morning but I'm hoping it will brighten up later. Have a great Saturday everyoneFinally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Have seen you on some other diaries so have stalked your diary and have read it all.
Well done on getting rid of so much debt.
My son used to go to college and we got a reduced bus fare but it was still £300 a term and as we worked in the same town as college it was a waste so he came to work with us and we got a 10 trip ticket from the bus company which covered town centre to outskirts where the college was which worked out quite cheap.
Do any of the buses that get DS to college offer a weekly/monthly ticket?
I know some bus companies allow people to share so if you buy a monthly pass everyone in the family can use it (obviously not all at the same time) which could save quite a bit.1
