Hope you hear back from the creditor soon HHOD.

Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday if not a bit spendy!! xx

  • Thank you lucky and mtg. It's 6.00 now and still no phone call :( DH has decided to ring them every day until they give us an answer. Pester power.

It's very frustrating as all our other creditors were paid over six weeks ago. We've waited almost four weeks for a doctors letter and now over two weeks for the creditor to put the letter and other information on their system. We still have no idea if they have actually done this :(

It feels very demoralising. Do they even care if they get their money or not?

    CHRISTMAS SAVINGS = £0/£500. SEF = £1,400/£12,000 PREMIUM BONDS ME = £350. PREMIUM BONDS DH = £300.
HOLIDAY MONEY = £0 TIME LEFT TO PAY OFF MORTGAGE = 5 YEARS 1 MONTHS
  • I forgot to mention that we also spent £20 on petrol yesterday.

Today I got my £5 hair cut done, plus a 50p tip. It looks much nicer and the supervisor did it all while the trainee watched and learned :D

I feel quite tired and miserable today, but I know that the one often causes the other :( didn't sleep very well last night. I expect I'll feel better tomorrow if I get a good nights sleep tonight.

I like Jo Nesbo too US. I picked up a hardback of Police today for £1 :) I think The Snowman is his scariest book so far

I picked up a hardback copy of Jo Nesbo's "Cockroaches" today along with a paperback copy of Irvine Welsh's "Filth" from Cancer Research 2 for £1 :D

The Snowman is my favourite and his most recent Harry Hole "The Thirst" is really good too.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

  • Nice. I haven't read 'The Thirst' yet, I must keep an eye out for that.

Have you tried any other nordic noir? I like most of the authors I've tried.

Sorry you’re feeling down. Hope you’re a bit brighter now. That pesky creditor has a lot to answer for! I hope your OH really gets on their nerves!

Re scary books - I don’t scare easily with books but the one that really played on my mind was “American Psycho”. I read it years ago in the 80s when it first came out - it was quite horrible.....
