The boys should have a great time on holiday together. Lovely to start to travel so young - I was married young and money was tight so missed out on overseas adventures at that age.

DD is like me and always enjoyed reading from a young age - we tend to enjoy the same sort of novels too. Funnily enough I only got her to read my favourite novel a couple of years ago - Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" - she loved it too!

Hope you enjoyed your coffee whilst out today Hairy!

I'd love to go to Iceland so I'm quite jealous. Like you I married young and money was tight, so I'm not very well travelled.

Rebecca is a brilliant book. I like Frenchman's Creek too :).

    I am an avid reader.

Hope you enjoyed your Saturday wander.

Thanks beanie :). Reading is one of life's great pleasures.
I have one reader and one non reader who now instructs Alexa to read him his bedtime story. He's 32. They would periodically holiday together which I find less worrying. Yes, it means both are away simultaneously but it means they have a travel buddy who knows contact details, medical history, etc

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: to Alexa reading a story. I find the thought of Alexa a bit scary, listening and recording everything you say .

It's true that having a travel buddy should keep them a bit safer :).

I enjoyed my Saturday wander yesterday, particularly my lovely latte. I spent £2.20 on thebus, £2.65 on my latte, £2 on a book from the charity shop and about £10 on fruit, cheese etc in Mr T.

I walked over 12,000 steps yesterday in total, partly becsuse I was absentminded and had to keep retracing my steps :o. Still the exercise will do me good because I put on a pound this week . All those chocolates for Valentine's and mother's day must be catching up with me .

It was quite warm yesterday, but in the evening it got much colder and today it is snowing . So we've decided not to go to my parents house tonight as DH hates driving in the snow.

We're wondering whether we've got the energy to go to the park and take some snow pictures. I feel tired after my marathon walk yesterday, but we hardly ever get snow.

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and nobody is snowed in .

We aren’t snowed in like we were a few weeks ago, but it’s horrible enough to choose to stay in rather than go anywhere.

All this talk of Daphne du Maurier has taken me back to our visit to Jamaica Inn when we were in Cornwall :D Loved imagining the smugglers etc Xx

Rebecca is one of my favourite novels too :)

I don't think anywhere has escaped the snow this time. Hopefully this is winter's last hurrah (although I said that last time).

HH hope you make it out today. The snow has gone here now, we just keep getting flutters . I feel really cold though, even with the heating on.

How great that your DS are travelling together , they can keep an eye on each other , less stress all round.

I am an avid reader , most of my books are from the charity shop or the works 3 for £5 .

Every Saturday I think of you going to costalot . We have one open locally now and people were sat outside today , either daft or very hardy .

Thanks Cumbria, my mum told us not to come :( as it is still snowing heavily on Dartmoor, although it's all melted here just ten minutes drive away! DH has offered to cook though luckily :).

There was one brave woman sat outside our Costalot with a cigarette despite bitingly cold winds, I'm glad I don't smoke :rotfl:.

I hope you don't have much snow .
