The boys should have a great time on holiday together. Lovely to start to travel so young - I was married young and money was tight so missed out on overseas adventures at that age.
DD is like me and always enjoyed reading from a young age - we tend to enjoy the same sort of novels too. Funnily enough I only got her to read my favourite novel a couple of years ago - Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" - she loved it too!
Hope you enjoyed your coffee whilst out today Hairy! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I have one reader and one non reader who now instructs Alexa to read him his bedtime story. He's 32. They would periodically holiday together which I find less worrying. Yes, it means both are away simultaneously but it means they have a travel buddy who knows contact details, medical history, etcMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I'm so glad it's the weekend as I feel shattered now I'm back doing my normal routine. It's awful when you live for the weekend, isn't it.
I know what you mean, but it makes it seem really nice xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Hope you get your Saturday saunter
Both my pair read willingly now which is a relief, both prefer non fiction but they like the warhammer 40k novels and douglas adams so I encourage that. Any reading has to be good but it makes me sad to think of all the brilliant stories they miss out on.
Modern life does seem to be geared up for those who have passports, so it will be useful.
I like Douglas Adams and I enjoyed reading 'Good Omens' by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman recently (DS1 recommended it). I miss reading those fabulous children's books to them, like 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' and the Percy the Park Keeper books etc.Children are funny things aren't they? Mine wouldn't learn to read. I eventually discovered that he thought I wouldn't read him a bedtime story if he could read himself. I can still render a decent "exterminate exterminate". But wasn't a fan of the last Dr Who, the next one should be interesting!
I can see his logic Bad Memory. We never know what's going on in the mind of a child.

I know it might seem like double the worry for you but the fact that DS2 is becoming a seasoned traveller now and is experienced enough to take his younger brother under his wing on the next trip will do wonders for his confidence. I wish them both a wonderful time:beer:
I was all booked to go to Iceland when I was 21. The organised trip involved a lot of travelling by offroad landrover-type vehicles and wading across icy streams:eek:. The itinerary covered a lot of remote country, it was more of an 'adventure holiday' staying in hostels which were very basic back then:eek:. In the end I wasn't able to go as my adored Grandmother who partly brought me up died and I needed to be at home. The friends who went said it was the experience of a lifetime and wouldn't have missed it for the world. I always intended to go at some other time but then work and relationships got in the way and it never happened:(.
How disappointing that you missed the adventure, but I can see why you couldn't go. You should make plans yo go there or you might always regret it. Start an Iceland savings pot.
