    DS2's plane is nearly two hours late leaving Atlanta :(. Which is why I'm still awake. DH is asleep on the sofa :rotfl:

    Now we're in bed. DH is asleep, but I said I would make sure DS2 lands safely and gets to his hostel. This is a long day and night :eek: :(

    I hope you're managing to get some sleep at last, HH. Must have been a very long day and night for you. Try to relax once you know he's safe and sound at his hostel:kisses3:. All this anxiety and stress is bad for anyone especially your DH, to whom I'm sending my best wishes by the way.


    All this mention of stick blenders I thought I'd mention mine. It was from Argos too and is a Cookworks one. A bit more expensive than Beanie's one but still only about £10-ish. Has 2 speeds instead of one and the main thing about it is that the bit that does the blending/whisking is detachable for washing. The cheaper one (which I had before and was perfectly OK as a blender) didn't detach so it had to be washed in the sink with the cable and plug dangling over the side. I think the detachable bit of my Cookworks one can be put in the dishwasher, Not sure though as I don't have one. The only dishwasher in this house is me:(

    In the end I set my alarm for 2.00am so I could wake up and see if DS2's plane had landed safely in New Orleans. He texted DH's phone just after 2.00am to say it had. Then he messaged me at 3.00am to say he'd arrived at the hostel!

    What a day and night! I feel quite rough with a headache and sore throat :( so I rang to cancel my volunteering this morning. I feel bad about it but I really don't feel great :(.

    I set my alarm for 8.00am as DS3 has college and I just caught him to say goodbye as he was leaving. He got up early enough to walk in which saved DH giving him a lift.

    DS1 is seeing friends this afternoon so he needs to be up soon, but we'll ask him to get the bus so DH can rest.

    We should be able to get a proper night's sleep tonight, I can't wait!
